Hi to U mobile rep here.
I have register for MNP (from celcom) to Umobile @ Sunway Pyramid on 8th Feb, but until today my line still yet change and it's already >5 working days as stated in the standar MNP time line.
Try calling the 018.... service center, no one pick up the phone, email through the u mobile website contact also no feedback.
Before I walk in to the service center in Sunway pyramid again (quite inconvenient for me who working on Mon to Fri), wonder can the sale rep here help to follow up on my MNP issue?
My h/p is 0135181833.

No reason. As of Monday (last email they sent me) they said 'we are looking into it and will let you know, here's your report number'. As of last Thursday (the previous time I called them) they said 'your number not listed yet, please go back your service center and ask, we don't have their phone number sorry'.

Well, one good thing for your case is at least you still receive an email reply, so far I still yet receive any email reply from them (call their cust service line also not successful connected so far).
After reading your all replies, I even wonder whether should I spend the effort to step in to their CS counter. I foresee I'll receive the typical reply from them like what you all received. sad.gif

I've found call them about 7am-8am easiest to get them. I've waited for >40 minutes before in evenings, whole way driving back from office to house....

Wow...you seems really patient in calling their CS, no wonder I can't connect to them so far cause t I only patiently wait for max 5 mins then will hang up.
Maybe I should try calling in the early morning tomorrow, thanks.

Guess you all are right, I manage to call the customer service this morning around 8:30am, it's really easier to contact them at this time frame.
However, after contacting them is leaving me more misery now.
First, I choose the general inquiry line to ask about my postpaid porting status. Then the guy in the line say he only in-charge of prepaid, so need to transfer me to other guy who handle postpaid. In the end it transfer to 4 persons (all first 3 transfer are prepaid handling, seems like they also not so sure who in-charge what amongst them) then only able to talk to the postpaid guy. However, as expected also I receive the answer that my porting no. is not in their system, so no any activation done so far.
However, the fantastic part is when I want to further ask about the possible reason and solution to speed up the activation, the guy hand up my line. I then try to re-call the CS line again (this time direct to postpaid extension) and after waiting for few mins, phone has been lifted but hang up immediately.
So, think my last resort is to walk in directly to the CS in Sunway again, but I'm not sure whether it'll be for porting follow up or porting cancellation request. The CS of U mobile really frustrating and scare me off now.

My line still yet ported even though I've walked in to U Mobile CS in Sunway on 24th Feb to voiced out my MNP issue.
Talked to the service person and he claimed he'll use max 5 more working days to settle my case, but till date still an empty promise.

Well, finally my patience is running out. I've decided to cancel my porting to U mobile.

Good luck to the rest of user who's still pending for MNP application.

Fyi, those MNP request that i emailed over Umobile Activation Dept on 17-2-2013 is already in progress.

I strongly urge you to return to the SC concerned to check with them.

In the earlier post, he had advised me to go back to the SC to settle my case, which I've done what is told, but still no result.
That's why I have made the decision thinking that it's better to cut the pain now rather than suffer the possible subsequent pain from their U services after subscription.

Hi all. I am currently using Digi smart plan. I plan to port my number to umobile using U28. It's cheap with reasonable data qty. I had no issues with bad 3g coverage.

But when reading to this thread, seems like umobile service not very good. Need advise, should I change to umobile? Thanks.

Base on my personal bad experience (inclusive those who's still pending for MNP process), the porting to UMobile is very very challenging and also as mentioned by other forumer, their CS (especially phone call and emailing service) is really really sucks, that's why I've given up of porting after 1 month of waiting.
However, no doubt their U28 package is really attractive and I would say the best offer in the market so far. So, if you really want to try porting to it, you should be ready to face their poor CS as mentioned and be prepare to walk in to their front desk CS (hotlink calling or email can forget about it) frequently to follow up your porting progress till it success.
Good luck!

Well, wonder can I still use your service now?
FYI, I've officially e-mail to U Mobile customer service and also informed the SC in Sunway Pyramid to stop my earlier porting processing.

Finally successfully ported to U Mobile on 5th Apr (after near 2 months porting from the date I applied on 7th Feb). Been using for 3 days + and so far so good.
About an user claim earlier that can't receive any signal in Genting, I've proofed that not really truth. I went to Bukit Tinggi (Berjaya Hill)and Genting Highland last Sat, no any line signal lost and in fact the former has the strongest signal of both voice and 3G (expected since it's in Berjaya territory). In Genting, just the problem is mostly receive G or E signal, just at certain location can get H signal.

BTW, have any use the selfcare portal service? I've logged in and see some basic info about my account, not much other function. Wonder can we also retrieve our billing info and plan change service through this portal?

How come the porting MNP took 2 months? I thought it should be within a week only.

Well, think I was ported at the wrong timing. Quite some other forumer here also facing similar problem (1-2 months period) when we did our porting around Feb this year.
