What shop is that? If just install strut bar not much use right? Have to pair with anti-roll bar also. I think I'm gonna go for R3 springs 1st before bars. tongue.gif
*
Yeah, better upgrade suspension 1st.

While I at Kakimotor when searching for Neo, the salesman suggested I do ECU reprogrammed (re-map maybe) and guarenteed at least 10% increased or money back. But it cost 2.8k. IMHO, better go for stand alone.

0w-30 oil is better than 0w-40? I tot bigger range is better?
*
0w30 is thinner than 0w40. Thus, more responsive engine. Which one is better, I also cannot say as it also depend on the engine design. AFAIK, CPS recommend 20w50.

Actually the number before the 'w' is not so important for us because we dont have winter here (for 0 degrees celcius).

I'm using 5w40 btw, and the engine feels more lively than 5w50 i use before.

Which viscosity grade is right for you?

SAE Viscosity Grade Motor Oil: 5W-30
Temperature Conditions: Below 0° F
Description: Provides excellent fuel economy and low temperature performance in most late-model automobiles. Especially recommended for new cars.

SAE Viscosity Grade Motor Oil: 10W-30
Temperature Conditions: Above 0° F
Description: Most frequently recommended motor oil viscosity grade for most automobile engines, including high-performance multivalve engines and turbo-charged engines.

SAE Viscosity Grade Motor Oil: 10W-40
Temperature Conditions: Above 0° F
Description: The first multigrade introduced. A good choice for controlling engine wear and preventing oil breakdown from oxidation. Note: Always check your owner's manual or warranty requirements before using this grade.

SAE Viscosity Grade Motor Oil: 20W-50
Temperature Conditions: Above 20° F
Description: Provides maximum protection for high-performance, high-RPM racing engines. Excellent choice for high temperature and heavy loads such as driving in the desert or towing a trailer at high speeds for long periods of time.

SAE Viscosity Grade Motor Oil: SAE 30 & SAE 40
Temperature Conditions: Above 40° F & Above 60° F
Description: For cars and light trucks, where recommended by manufacturers. Not recommended when cold-temperature starting is required.

p/s: I've saw a race prep Neo while at RACE using Castrol Edge 10w60 the other day.

My manual book states 20w50, but maybe they not updated it yet, still using spec for the campro.

But from what I've read, better to use thicker oil if you always does redlining.

Thing like this have to give and take ler... they can put larger side mirror but will spoil the whole car looks. Wanna car that easy to drive with less blind spot? Usually the one with odd shape has less blind spot such as old honda city and renault kangoo.

BTE, I think the owner should highlight the SC and foreman name.

i did a baseline dyno today on stock standard CPS (M). Mileage 5900kms. 2nd service done a few days ago.

Dyno done on 3rd gear.

110 whp @6600rpm
131 Nm of torque @4950 rpm

all are on wheel figures. A/F ratio is also excellent ranges between 13.2 and 13.6.

I would say Proton is not cheating on specs when it comes to CPS power.

Saw another dyno sheet for Gen.2 / Persona. I suspect auto box and IAFM engine as there is no torque dip between 2500-3500rpm.

HP only 89whp from a 110bhp engine. Guessed the autobox sapped a lot of power from the engine.
*
Upload your dyno chart ler... can share2. thumbup.gif Mine got about 5whp and 5nm more from intake and exhaust mod.

Just saw the chart, why so small bro. sweat.gif

Dyno on Speedworks PJ is acceptable or u can go to the Sunway area. Lots more choices. The price is always 100 for 3 runs and the best of 3 is taken.

Go more than 5 cars can nego to 80 per car. Read up more as some dyno machines are not so accurate and will boast only own ego when on its not actually the read reading.

in pg u only got 2 tuners with 2WD dyno. northern garage or mpower. no 4WD dyno yet.

pic uploaded to a much bigger one...

anyone else can share their dyno charts?
*
Sunway got alot of dyno. Anyway, its not advisable to go for more than 3 run as it put strain on the engine.

I've uploaded mine a few pages back.

Added on March 21, 2009, 6:58 pmJust found out zhapalang.com.my is selling apexi neo for 1.1k. Anyone bought anything from them?
