The makers of Mission: Impossible 5 will look to court the lucrative Chinese market by casting local star Zhang Jingchu in a leading role opposite Tom Cruise, reports Variety.

Do any of you guys feel that MI series losing the feel of the original MI series? Like got a team of 4-5 ppl, each one got a particular task to do in a mission. Like the first MI, when the mission went awry

I agree, its more lively with a splash of comedic I guess with the concept of Ocean 11 in mind.. do i like it? HHmm i guess the old IM series will be missed.. I did a video review in my YouTube.

Tom Cruise and Chris McQ break down the scenes of rogue nations. Awesome behind the scene commentary. It's a lengthy podcast.

The movie is quite good. I enjoyed it.

But honestly, i feel tired with spy, agent related movie. After this, James Bond movie.

I feel that Hollywood run out of idea in making a new movie.

I'd rank the movies as such:

1, 4, 3, 5, 2

Thia one felt like a combination of the first and fourth movies, but not as good as either. All previous 4 movies were strikingly different in one way or another and this is the first time I felt that nothing new or different was done. It's closest to Ghost Protocol, but lacks the ultra slick and confident touch of Brad Bird. Still a pretty good and fun movies in its own right.

Haha. Watched already. I still find the stunts in burj in ghost protocol more jaw dropping than rogue nation. Still a solid piece of film making especially the chase scene in morocco. laugh.gif rclxms.gif

I dont whether its only me that felt ghost protocol really overrated. Its quite decent. My rank would be 5,3,1,4,2.

The score has some outstanding moments. Take the one below for example, when was the last time we heard a track that progressed its theme so elegantly in a modern action blockbuster? Thank you Joe Kraemer.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015)

Okay!

Fine!!

I am slow on this one!!!

I was away, no access to cinema, *grumble*, *grumble*, *complain*, *complain*... laugh.gif

The Good

I like the whole franchise, because, it is a rarity nowadays, with CGI budget going through the roof, this movie takes the trouble to go on locations all over the world. A rarity indeed. (Other then this only Jason Bourne and James Bonds still does it)

There is a story to be told. Seriously, "other big budget movie" (I am looking at you Wachowski siblings) don't forget to tell THE story. Yes, action sequences, CGI etc can give you a WOW factor, but in the end, if the story sticks in your viewers minds, you, my friend have done your job!!

For a 50 yo, Tom Cruise is STILL showing the youg'un, how it is done! Kuddos!!

Who the heck is Rebecca Ferguson and where has she been ALL MY LIFE!!!! tongue.gif

Simon Pegg, the ever dependable comic relief, gets serious here!!!

The Bad

Ving Rhames??? At KL towers??? When was this??? Or was it "stock shots".

The Ugly

Sean Harris as Solomon Lane all I want to add here is Prosaic much?? laugh.gif

But I am nick-picking

I enjoyed this movie immensely.

I strong recommend you watch this.

Why are you still reading?? Go already!!!?!

My Two Sen.
