d reason why i picked 24' is d resolution bro. no point takin 22' while 20' havin d same resolution.

a 24' should be around RM1k plus, a pair of 4850 cost another RM1k plus, d rest go to dragon platform + a decent pair of 4GB... kautim... thumbup.gif

forgot about asus, yeah, since u'll have some leftover $$$, can go for ah shuuuu as well. still, i'll recommend dfi for sure, ah shuuuu x rox... tongue.gif

my ram cannot push beyond 950Mhz...
wil vnb or vhtt help to push it a bit more??

wads the max advice-able vdimm for KVR??
*
frankly speaking, i dunno bro,

@ah_khoo..
settle kan this question tongue.gif

vnb and vhtt i dun think it might help u a lot, coz u sound pretty sure it come from ram right?
how about the timing?

i advice to stay below 2.1v for passive.. and 2.2v active.. shud stay below it, n try to play a lot with timing, maybe u want to sacrifice a performance using timing and gain something from Mhz

yea it's my ram...
i push the ram higher bt v same clock speed...
it keep on lockup...
ram alr loosen all timings...
vdimm alr 2.15v, vhtt and vnb alr increase 1 notch...
so i cannot improve my SPI 1M anymore...
so bad my crucial are dead... sad.gif

ur d ram tweakin guru bro, i'm just so so only... sweat.gif

i always have better luck in ram if compared to chip, that's why most of my oc are limited by chip. wink.gif

basically as u mentioned, vnb + vhtt doesn't help much in ram oc, timin + vdimm are more important. my experience w/ value ram:

- if they're d9 chipset, they still can take 2.2v w/ active coolin
- can't really do tight timin, tightest i went was 5-4-4-x @ ddr1000 w/ 2.2v (prime stable)
- dun expect too much as they are value ram unless ur bein lucky gettin a gud batch. tongue.gif

memset & aod (for voltage adjustment only!!!) are useful tools for ram fine tuning... wink.gif
