lol honestly, I don't see a point why people compare AP and oris. For those who didn't know, AP sets are ori sets in other country, just that they are brought in by the suppliers (AP company), which are not official distributors here.

The reason it is cheaper is because the currency exchange, and the price of phone in other country.

As for the speaker prob, it only occurs to machines produced before the production week 52 heh. Mine is 48 sad.gif sad.... lol

Even new AP phones, no more prob =.=

If you have the maps installed in your phone, then by just using the satellite to track your location etc., no charges.

However, google maps will sync the map with google also, therefore standard charges for GPRS/EDGE/3G/HSDPA applies.

*For a free 1, you can try reading the first post, TrekBuddy, links to download is there too. Free smile.gif

hey will be making my decision on the purchase of this phone soon....is this phone still experiencing all the endless problems? if not then I'll go back to my c902 which I love so much......I've personally seen the phone and felt that it's too plasticky....any comments?
*
I would say all phone got pros and cons, but as for me, I think the later production of the C905 is alot more stable/safe compared to the older ones. And also, I would say, still no regrets getting this phone so far, willing to bear with everything that's gonna happen tongue.gif

Same here, I believe your memory card is corrupted, therefore all data gone. Nevertheless, try using a card reader to check if there's any data in your memory card.

If there are, backup the data, format the card, transfer the data in again.

Err, going for AP set, I purchase quite some time ago, I went for telstar for warranty, and asked regarding the earphone prob, they took around 1 1/2 hours to change it smile.gif

Well, even for ori set, earphone prob is there, and at times, ori might take even longer also, heh. So totally depends on you dude, but if you're really THAT afraid, then go for ori lor biggrin.gif

If yours is AP, repairing the earphone is around 80-100 bucks. Around 2 hours only they need to replace it biggrin.gif

earphone speaker wink.gif most of the time, its the earphone speaker that's giving prob, not the ribbon....the ribbon leads to other probs though

speaker....the ribbon might cause the earphone to malfunction too, but most of the time, its the speaker itself...

ribbon might cause buttons to be less sensitive, less "responsive" as well.

Btw, i just downloaded this application (its free), called FileLock which hides your files by adding a .lck to the extension of the file. so it cant be opened unless you open the app, enter the password and then unlock it. Best part, it also hides files from the Media menu

usable for other SE/java enabled phones also. recommended by meĀ  thumbup.gif

http://www.getjar.com/products/5964/FileLock
*
quite handy application there, but there's a flaw in it. If ppl really have intention to steal data from your phone, they can just change the extension of .lck back to the original extension tongue.gif nevertheless, useful icon_rolleyes.gif

*Added into the recommended application list, as well as the TrekBuddy msia+sg map, added into the TrekBuddy map list cool.gif

Not sure with apps like File Manager, possible or not. But with the phone itself, you can't.

If there's apps that can lock entire folder, would be better. But I tried searching just now, don't really have 1 which is really working fine.

if you have already allowed the app to connect to the net, most prob its cause of your wifi connection. Try making sure that your connection is active, as in the modem connection to the net, not the wifi connection from phone to router.

Maybe you can try your connection on a pc first to make sure that the internet connection is active.

nop u dont need, cause the settings are like normal wifi (laptop) settings....the IP all are set by the router's DHCP, which auto allocated IP address....hmm try see if your phone wifi settings have been changed? use original settings shud b good
