Recent books:

Anathema by Neal Stephenson - Sci-Fi, excellent book, but you must be prepared to pay attention and think especially given the language & maths theories he includes in the plot.

Farthing and Ha'Penny by Jo Walton - Alternate history novel, where Britain strikes a peace with Nazi Germany instead of going to war with them. Depressing, but well written series. Waiting for the 3rd book, Half A Crown, to come out in paperback.

Reading Guin Saga Vol 2 by Kaoru Kurimoto translated by Alexander O. Smith (also translated Twelve Kingdom & Brave Story)

The story revolved around a warrior with a magically affixed leopard head upon his own, his memories and identity lost. The only thing he remembered was his name Guin and the word 'Aurra'. Upon fate he meet up with the Pearls of Parros, the twins prince (Remus) & princess (Rinda) of the now fallen Parros Empire. Together they travel for the chance to rebuild Parros and to regain Guin's memories. But not before they fend off fiends of Roadwood and the pursuing Gohran knights!

Flat Earth News by Neil Davies

Mostly based on the news covered in the UK but the intention of the book is to explain news coverage nowadays are with an agenda, whether it is to sell a product or to spread certain lies or control the masses.

Quite an interesting read.

Friends, Lovers, Chocolate by Alexander Mccall

The title can be misleading tongue.gif It's essentially a detective story sprinkled with philosophical insights. It's more interesting than I thought it would be.
