Need anyone with this kind of experience.

I migrated (merged) from both XP Pro 32 bit and Vista Ultimate 32bit to W7 Ultimate 32 bit (1TB WD HDD).Data from both HDD for 2 different OS combined together in the 3rd HDD for W7.

My Question is: Have anyone installed an old game call Command & Conquer Generals Zero:Hour on W7 ?

I installed C&C Generals (not the expansion) and it works. However, the expansion doesn't work even though i used the compatibility mode. That game was installed in Win XP and it works. It just pops an error message " you have encountered a serious error... bla bla bla"..

Does it crash at the intro video? If it is, then you can apply this fix.

I installed both C&C Generals and Zero Hour from the DVD "The First Decade", got no problem

the list can go on on on and on. Anyone can help to summaries it?

Adobe acrobat pro, can use but cannot update to version above 8.1.0

adobe acrobat pro 8.0 no AdobePDF printer installed.

alcohol and unlocker have been updated , so there's no loner incompatibility issue

seems like urs gt so many malfunction application, but nero 8 works well for me, which part of it is malfunction?

Got the same problem,but the solution could not be any simpler for me lah,got to your my document/Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\options.ini,and double click to open it.

ye old 3dsmax 5.1,incompatible because of cd-illla software protection driver not compatible with win7.
Powerdirector ver 6-8 cyberlink incompatible.latest patch for ver.8 is ok

Avast Antivirus and Emsisoft Anti-Malware both work great on Windows 7.

I had a problem where my computer wasn't installing the Windows 7 updates for a while. Then I discovered that the TrustedInstaller service was missing. After I got that installed properly my computer now updates properly. It took me over a month of trying different things to finally figure that out though. Just a tip for anyone else that can't install their Windows updates.

Seems that Avira Antivirus Free Edition also does not really works for Win 7 64 bit. When it attempts update or attempt scan, it occasionally hang my notebook. I switch it off.

when load that time did u click other thing?
when i launch the game , if i click any thing or button it will say you have encourtered a srs error !
but if i just leave it there for abt 5sec then pop fullscreen and can play liao

yeah usually games need abit patience to load

Microsoft security essential i recommend..
it can run with windows firewall but need original windows..

my cyber cafe use that n no problem at all if u really care about you computer.

for support, use malware bytes free to scan at least 1 time a month.
