Ok, i'm a Teamcity member, i'm not a committee member or even involved in most of the club activities, but i believe in having only one club so that our voices carry weight when talking to Honda Malaysia, by establishing another club for the same model we are just making it harder to be taken seriously.

For accord owners, there is HAVOC to cover all variants. havoc = honda accord variants owner club.

Teamcity should be the same for all city members. Right now i know we have members who are owning the even older generation.

Someone mentioned too many Ah Bengs in Teamcity in another thread, well the club is pretty much open to anybody who wants to join. How are you going to prevent Ah Bengs from joining this new club ???
*
I get your view point on this matter.
I think I've said it somewhere in this thread, maybe page 2 or something that we should and can be affiliated to Team City as it will be useful in the events we need to voice our concerns to Honda Malaysia. But I think the reason why we want to 'create' this Club was more to having gathering and discussion with people using the same car. The problems those face from 1G and 2G City(s) might and will be different to that from the 3G. I guess we're open for suggestions on a couple of things
1) Creation of a stand-alone club with affiliations to Team City
or
2) A sub-group for the 3G be created under the purview of Team City.

In terms of Ah Bengs, I'm not the 'voice' of the others, but I agree IMHO that there will be no way we can prevent anybody who wants to join.. As long as they have the same interest as the collective group, I think that's alright. So far so good, all those who have signed up are rather decent smile.gif

QUOTE(dinozilla @ Jan 23 2009, 07:32 PM)
for tat point....i would suggest if can held a talk with TeamCity committee, probably reorganize the forum to cater for different generation of City, each has their own similar subforum to cover some vastly different issue, yet have some other cater for general topics.

as sysh said, no point of having too many forum/fan club jz by dif of generation....
our purpose should be closing the gap, not widen the gap....
after all, all existing city owner oso always keep tracking of head and news of any latest city....knowledge sharing is the point here, not to split class/generation
*
Could you hook me up with a Team City committee member? Wouldn't mind giving it a go. nod.gif
What ever it is, guess we'll still push for some identity since the platforms are pretty much different.
But I guess some preliminary discussion will start the ball rolling. What do you say? smile.gif

If this club merges with TeamCity, then count me out. TeamCity focuses most on City, so I guess I'll just leave for good if that really happens. smile.gif

Yup, understood, bro.
Anyway we'll see how things go. Their requirements do seem pretty rigid and I too don't want to be governed by too many rules & regulations either.
For now, I'm going to enjoy my Chinese New Year..hehe!
Gotta get ready my annual ritual to make sure my weekend gamblin' session with friends will bear some fruits..hehe

Let's suggest our first TT session..

Need your suggestions.

Date: 6/2 (Friday), 7/2 (Saturday), 20/2 (Friday) or 21/2 (Saturday) **
Location: Asia Cafe, SS15 or Mentari Court, Sunway or Pelita, SS15 or Sri Hartamas

SS15 near AC.. kinda hard to find parking lot I think?

True.
I guess a place which have ample amount of parking space would be ideal.
Even Sri Hartamas has issues with parking.. Hmm.
Up for more suggestions from the floor smile.gif

Yep, i've done my PPS.!!

Took me a whole day... Sent my car in at 9:30am.. And it was only done at 6pm... Did it before CNY, which I guess was a bit hectic for the guys at shine and shield, cos there were plenty of cars! thats why it took so long i guess..

But I'm really happy with the service, the car looked even better than when I first collected it from the showroom... I'll see if I can snap some pics and post it on the PPS thread which chris_x started...
*
That's good. I sent my car about 9:30am too. He said it'll be done by 4:30pm. There's another CBP City here. Not sure whose one is it. But it does look good. Think there are about 4 - 5 cars in ShineNShield now. Quite good business, eh..haha! Hopefully can finish before 4:30pm 'cos I don't have any transport out of Sunway. Thank goodness got WiFi ovr here.. Can do work..

Btw.. after 6 months, we need to some sort of "maintenance" coating? How much does it cost?
Oh yeah.. how do you wash your car now. Just with water? or do we need to buy some special cleaning products?
