Which shop got sell Hakko soldering station or Weller Soldering station ?
*
I used Weller soldering station and other soldering station b4, it is nothing more than controlling temperatures ONLY!
hmmm... a JAPAN MADE soldering gun with power boost button up to 130W is ENUFF if and only if you trust me.

hmmm for solder, i think if u have finalized with circuit then use good solder like PHILIPS for power, WBT or Mundorf Msolder supreme silver/gold for critical path or SIGNAL! HEHE

1-E-9 sen OPINION hahahaha

Could you all please DON'T pollute this very fine thread with irrelevant topics just like others we saw.....if we wanna talk about amps building we talk about amps....simple related arguments is ok but NO to BS.....you know the rules. This thread is long enough and surely we don't want it full with garbage or some cursing posting... shakehead.gif
*
i m not polluting, but little ghostss is personal attacking so i have to defend...
he started it... do not blame me...

temperature control IS not only about controlling the temperature. You can use it to fine tune it to suit your applications. E.G. High temps for ground pads when you need loads of heat at a small fraction of time, lower temps when the pads can be easily soldered and so on.

yes. in normal solder u did it manually... hmmm is tat a must? unless u need the best.

If u using normal soldering station, of course silver is harder to solder. but it depends.. WBT is very easy to be soldered comparing to Msolder... Tats y i say use it only when u have finalize the circuit.

QUOTE
The purpose of solder is NOT conductivity but rather a mechanical item that holds your components down.
Yes... its true.. but taste could be affected by material of solder... and please don deny about it.

Am i clear enuff to answer ur doubts?

normal solder do the same thing, possibly even better. You want to hype and have a circle jerk about things that don't bring any improvement, go on and start a new thread to serve your own delusion. This thread has been no bullshit centric for years now (since it's creation), don't bring bullshit into this thread.

lol.. not all people need a soldering station kit... normal soldering gun is a good tool too... it is just an alternative to poor people... no hard feeling.

QUOTE
cool story bro. There's no such thing as tastes when it comes to something so simple.
talk about unwarranted self importance. Go away.

When ur system is transparent enuff.. then you will know it affects the sound taste.. might not be day and night difference, but u will hear it.

retail price @ RM999, it change the fact instead of spending any possible cables solution, it's better to carry out all the analogue's potential by secret grounding flow topology over specific paralleled cap and resistor used  whistling.gif

@vir___killer: where can I get the OCC and PCOCC cable locally?

@kww: stranded really easier for installation. I broke solid core cable before, just slightly bend it only.  doh.gif

@nanhifi: I also plan to replace the crossover pcb with wiring only.

@LittleGhost: currently I'm using Mitti High Resolution Silver Coated Copper cable but don't know how is the quality of material. RM5/meter only.  sweat.gif

vir_killer- Placing the pcb crossover traces with cable. I have not do that, and does not know the result iether. Have a try maybe you will learn and get something. I only change internal wiring for the loudspeaker and it does effect the sound stage.

oh ok.. i knew that.. but i not my current speaker lah.. i am not gonna invest on my old speaker. perhaps new 1.
