QUOTE(jerk @ Feb 2 2009, 01:09 AM) @KVReninem i can get 30kg for singapore airline..default is 20kg but i said i m student n show them student visa n offer letter then they increase limit for memy ticket is booked back in july last year.. so i just have to live with "less than 20kg" @Thalmes my father is quite strict on the 20kg as well.. guess he is just like the officers at the airport. he said it would be very expensive to exceed the limit. well, i am just bringing clothes, 1 pair of shoes , 1 pair of throngs and some files and stationary.. would not have any big problems hopefully the students there are not required to wear formal clothes during every classes. back here in malaysia, we are required to do so Added on February 2, 2009, 1:35 amoh ya.. all of you dont being drinking water in hand luggage? i think there are something like liquids cannot exceed 100ml? i am still reading through the terms and conditions |

QUOTE(panda-man @ Feb 2 2009, 07:23 PM) actually from my experience in melbourne. they will not allow you to book/reserve/rent the place unless the person that is going to stay (YOU) have inspected the place. is it?when i go for inspect then need pay bond 1st b4 can get the room?when i was moving out of the apt. some people came to look at the place with the agent and a girl wanted to apply, and said she was sharing with 2 other people. the agent didnt let her apply because her other 2 roommates wernt there to look at the place. this is due to roommates arguing and in the end cancelling the whole rental process. i cant say this is the same for every agency or whatever but. its something i thought you should know. maybe you can email them and find out first or something like that. QUOTE(KVReninem @ Feb 2 2009, 07:27 PM) either la trobe st or carltonif ur ok then i will gif u add n inspection time... |

QUOTE(haya @ Feb 5 2009, 08:10 AM) I stand corrected. I've never had the luck of extra 10KG with these airlines, but obviously it does happen. act i booked the ticker from SIA website.kl to sing, then transit to melbourne via QantasJust to clarify so I can edit the front page: what do you actually do to get the extra 10KG? Show them you are a student during booking, or at the check-in counter, or both? And what documentation do you show: COE, Student visa, or what? In order to get this approve we shall require copies of some document for verificiation and here are as follows: Passport copies Booking itinerary after purchasing ticket (Electronic Ticket) Offered letter from Institution or University Offered letter from the Company that you are working to Student visas Approval documents for migration from the Embassy. but act i just submit passport copies, student visa,e-ticket n offer letter |

QUOTE(Thalmes @ Feb 11 2009, 03:49 PM) Yes you can but you need to declare it in the quarantine once you arrived there . Take note that in your declaration form , You gotta fill them up too . oo..same goes with check in luggage? Btw , Perth is so hot nowadays ... How do you guys endure such heat ? no need declaration from doctor right? |
