As far as I know ... I need to translate my license into English , take theory test and practical test . But I don't know whether am I still eligible to do that as they said it's 3 month after I grant my visa ... Or 3 month after I come to Perth . That's the confusing part . I don't think I need to attend the seminar thing do I ?

Just to let everyone know ...
To Malaysian studying in Perth , With student visa ( TR ) . You can drive as long as you translate your license , Your license is not expired / cancel . you must put the P plate on if you are still P plated . Red / Green color = Follow the rules . If you drove for 2 months in Malaysia ( Red P ) , Come here then continue red P for the following month then change to green P . -Must Remain Alcohol-Free- and follow the rules . You can read more on the actual site .
P/S : It's best if you re-read the law book because Australia's law may be more different than in Australia .
UNLESS YOU ARE A PR , YOU MUST TRANSFER

Guys from Year 11 to TAFE ... Do you take mathematics as one of your subject in your high school ? Is it compulsory ? The website said that Entry into Cert III is equivalent Year 11 with passes in English . Didn't mention about Maths .

QUOTE(s373n @ Mar 5 2009, 08:18 PM) but normally you need to have at least basic level of math skills. Yeah I emailed ETI and they told me that it's not a compulsory for the course that I'm doing in TAFE but it's preferable to take it . I can choose not to take it but oh well , Just take it then. At least I have something to work on . Haha . Transperth is not that convenient on Weekends . Gave me a lot of problem of wanna go to get my personal stuff.

QUOTE(starryangel @ Mar 10 2009, 07:40 PM) I have a question. If JPA sponsors us to Australia for undergraduate but can't find a job for ask, we are technically freed from bond, right? Lets say I'm interested to go back to Aussie for graduate studies in MEDicine, can I apply for permanent visa and pursue the course under the 'Commonwealth supported places' scheme? It would be much cheaper and affordable if we could do so, as in we only hafta pay domestic fees. Did anyone apply to be Commonwealth supported? Is it hard to get a permanent visa? I hope someone would give an imput on this. Thank you Ps:// For more details, click the link below http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/Main/Resource...ortedPlaces.htmTo apply PR, You need to achieve certain ''points'' in order to do that . If not , You will have to study until you reached the point.Do you have any relatives that's PR in Australia? They can sponsor you and get free points in order to easily achieve the points. If you're all alone , Its gonna be hard.

Will they check External HDD ? Just in case ... I copy my stuffs in there from the DVD. I heard that I will be safer if I put it in a carrying case ? Australia allows us to download torrents , We download them and burn them into a DVD ... But why would they confiscate if we burn it to a DVD ?

Just wondering ... I have mailed ETI ( Education and Training International ) about course requirements. It seems that the Multimedia course doesn't need any Mathematics but only Year 11 graduation with passes in English. So I have called them and the same answer was given. I was wondering will I face any ''slimmer in getting into TAFE'' next year if I dropout Mathematics now in my Year 11. Any ideas?

QUOTE(haya @ Apr 10 2009, 08:04 PM) Yes, I know it is harsh, and it is not popular, but as long as there are people, and there are people who can't read, some exemplary and/or punitive action is needed. I have no issues with a laissez-faire approach in other threads and forums, but then don't be surprised that there is so much spam and junk posts floating around. RBR, as a lawyer, you should know better than many of us, that without actual threat of punishment, people will never learn.I second your idea but not completely, But if you're strongly suggesting that, How can you explain of other issues of people doing the same mistake even after being punished ? And judging from what you replied in your earlier post, She's new and I don't think you should be that harsh. You can tell her in a more polite way. I hope this argument will not go any longer.
