QUOTE(ivtec2 @ Feb 3 2009, 01:20 AM)
Guys, just to share that I've tried to achieve the max torque, but due to many cars on the road during cny on the north-south highway, I manage to go max 160-170 km/h. I feel my shoulder "stick" to the cushion than feeling the car is floating. Not sure whether this is so-called ivtec power, when I shifted to 3rd gear on S, my rpm was 3K; then I step on pedal to hit 5K or more RPM, when I reach 4K, you can feel your car is accelerating even you are driving fast... around 100-110km/h... then I shift to 4th gear, same applies, on 4K RPM the car starts to accelerate... but however, max i've tried is ard 170km/h.. many cars during cny...

however, this is only a short distance stretch from kl-melaka. afterall, when i reach melaka, i saw 17.8km/l on my meter reading. I think NHC is very good in controlling the FC!
Cheers!
*
17.8! Alamak I need to get my car checked again.

Called my SA. He claimed that the more I try to limit the rev the higher the FC would be. Ask me to just tekan and drive. I limit the rev but I make sure the car changes gear. I duno if tht's the right thing to do. Currently my FC max can reach 12.8km/l only sad.gif and he's saying "wa very cheap edi lor". Currently full tank can't even reach 400km.

It's possible that you may experience less than stellar fuel consumption before the engine breaks-in. But even for pure city driving, if you get less than 400km, that's quite bad. That means on average, you're only doing 9.x km per liter. Even for my car, my worse average is also 10.6km/L and that's driving to KL, getting stuck in jams there and from KL to PJ over a course of 3 days.

Give it a month, I'm fairly certain your car will be able to attain better mileage once the engine wears in more.

Btw, your petrol tank has a total of 42L but it's impossible to use all 42L. When you refuel, how many liters were pumped in before the tank filled up? Is it 34L? 36L? 38L? Check your petrol bill and let us know here.
*
Hopefully the FC becomes more efficient over time. Last 2 pump oso below 400km. Anyway I pump full tank around 35L / RM63. Somewhere around there.

dstyx, vex's FC for city driving sounds more normal to me. That's the sort of FC you should be getting.
*
Sigh I think I need to have the ECU checked. I did the 1000km service edi. They barely did anything.

1. Told them handbrake tak makan they say 6-7 click is recommended. blink.gif

2. Rattling sound at the 3rd brake light can only be fixed during weekdays (I went on Sat). Kanasai! mad.gif

3. A/c cools pretty fast when only blowing up (i only use this). When blowing up and leg together, hardly got any wind coming out. They claim it's like this. vmad.gif

I'm starting to think these service centers purposely delay or not have the job done properly even after they key-in the work task so that we make few more visits. These guys must be sucking claims from Honda Malaysia. hmm.gif (Just my personal speculation)

Hi guys. Remember I complained about having high FC (Average 12.8km/l)? Went to Honda to have it checked. They claimed they check with computer and everything seems fine so they just reset it.

While driving back to office I seen figures that I've never seen before (Higher km/l). Hopefully everything's normal. My last tank of fuel managed to bring me 285km only.

Apparently there's also another guy with the same problem. He went there a week earlier. Dunno how is his doing now. What bout u guys? Anyone with high FC problem?

That's piss poor mileage, even if you're around the City a lot. Did you check how many liters were pumped in when you refueled? Check your bill
*
Yea. Last week I went to Semenyih using the highway. Paid 3-4 tolls rclxub.gif. No car nothing coz it's 7am Sunday. FC can reach 13KM/L only. Kanasai.

I normally pump when the warning light appears. That's about 7L left in the tank. Each time pump also around RM63. So kinda consistent. Today while driving home can't really test coz traffic jam gila sial. Raining. Tomorrow take Kerinchi Link see how.

Hope none of you guys have this problem.

If you don't like your SA but you're getting your car from him. You can simply choose not to service your car at his branch. He'll "kena" for sure.
