Hi guys!

After reading everything here, it made me missed my trip to Semporna last weekend more. I was there last weekend (23rd April - 26th April) for my nephew's fullmoon party at Seafest Hotel. They are people EVERYWHERE! And they were hanging colourful flags all along the lampost on the way to Semporna town. And not to mention the boats, colourful boats and colourful costumes. I highly recommend for you to go to Semporna when the Regatta Lepa-Lepa is held.

I only managed to do some snorkelling in Mabul Island because I don't have a diving license and am terrified of sea snakes XD Anyways, the island is beautiful....and the water is so blue and crystal clear. My jaws dropped looking at the water. The Bajau people that live in the island just made the whole trip much more interesting. With their little shacks as their home and shops selling daily food like oil, sauce and soy sauce in plastic, looking like popsicles.

For a family trip, I highly recommend you to stay in Seafest Hotel, an awarded 3-star hotel for some much needed luxury and go over to one of the islands there like Kapalai Island or Mabul Island to stay overnight.
