I've used the following; 1. Aiwa TS-CD20  2. Altec Lancing ADA 305 (could directly control volume from Win98... Cool  )  3. Altec Lancing MX-5021 (current one but have not been using it as of late because my desktop is currently down  )  Of all the 3, the MX-5021 is miles ahead. Of course there were one or two cheapo speakers I bought that are not worth mentioning. On the ATP3 and ACS 45.1, I still think ACS 45.1 was better when I heard it on a friend's machine. Heck, it's one of the best sounding back then. The bass still shakes the room. The ATP3 was a little flat for me.

Cretive G500 for me. The best 5.1 speaker beside Z5500. Running on 4 years and still counting.

i Voted 4 my altec lansinG BxR 1121 ! it Served me well 4 1 n half yers d till now! nice qualty especially when gaming n movie + music... although its a normal 2.1 speaker bt im satiesfied wif it

No, seriously. Altec Lansing ATP 3 is the best 2.1 for its price. In fact, it will still be the best 2.1 speaker if you paid RM100 more.
It's THAT good. used mine for about 6 years already, and has never let me down.

klipsch promedia 4.1
now using z-5500 in sitting room and mako for pc. i would say the promedia 4.1 is the best i ever used. pity i cannot get the promedia ultra 5.1

im using edifier c3.. sometime i can here a bit of distortion from a song played by winamp.. is my speaker dying/ broken or it was the song bitrate?

my old Altec Lansing ACS 45.1 problem in wiring recently, so sad  currently using ATP3 2.1 for 5 years now. still perform the best but the woofer cannot beat ACS 45.1
