Sifus of N82, Pls help.... I check my N82 and observe its software is version 20.0.062,
1. Do I need to update it?
2. If yes, what is the main benefit I will get from the new version?

When I copy mp3 songs from my PC to my N82 memory card, which folder in the memory card shall I save to? Is it the Music folder?

I get to know from this forum about GPS, maps...., is it FREE to use? FYI, I m using maxis.

Hi, I have upgraded my N82 firmware to the latest V31 version. Every thing is fine, except for one thing:

Before upgrade, my memory card mp3 songs have chinese names, now all the chinese characters becomes square boxes, how come?
How can I view back chinese character plsssssssssssssssssss help.

So is there anything i can do to view the chinese characters plsssssss?

What is NSS? Before I updage to v31 I can view chinese character.

1. install NSS "Virtual USB Device" on my PC?
2. open the program and click on the "scan for devices" button
3. click on the "phone info" icon (the one with the Nokia 6600 as the picture)
4. click on "scan" and then "read"
5. change the product code to "0551532"
6. close NSS and open NSU (Nokia Software Updater)
7. update your firmware
8. volia! chinese support on your Nokia N82


Question:
1. Where can I download NSS ?

2. during this whole process , do i need to connect my N82 to my PC?

Then close NSS, and proceed with NSU, correct?

Why we need to change the product code in the n82, then re-install v31, then only it can view chinese character ?

I follow your advise, use NSS change the code, then use NSU to reinstall v31 into my N82, now my N82 is running perfect using v31 firmware. Chinese character can be viewed already.
