Ceramic pads are the way to go these days. Good stopping power, doesn't scratch or wear out your discs fast like metallics/semimetallics do (never did like them), low brake dust. The only downside of course, is shorter lifespan than metallic pads. But that is a normal compromise - softer pads = shorter lifespan. Bendix has ceramic pads. http://www.bendixbrakes.com/products/frictionPremium.php The other good ones are Kevlar (as in body armor) pads. EBC makes them, but I hear that EBC pads are not really suited for Malaysian roads/weather, poor stopping power. Mintex has always made good pads, nonmetallic, somewhat expensive. There are some fake Ferodo out there not sure if I bought the fake one, Last few month going downhill from genting using rawang old road, pad overhead and malfunction, have to stop by rest until the pad colddown, the time with my wife, luckily manage to stop the car on time before it went completely out of function....what an bad experience
