All we have to do is wait for Zenit's statement.

1.
The thing is that can we trust Sky's report? The thing is that it has a certain level of inaccuracy. Lets see.

Source:SkySports
7.42  The whereabouts of Andrei Arshavin are still shrouded in mystery. Sky Sports News reports the Russian playmaker is in London in anticiption of undergoing a medical but it is understood Arsenal and Zenit St Petersburg are still to agree a fee.

15.48  At last Arsenal and Zenit St Petersburg have finally agreed a fee for the transfer of Andrei Arshavin to the Gunners. The deal is still to be finalised though with Arshavin and the Russians still to sort out a final payment. It is understood Arshavin will wear the number 13 shirt.

17.30  Associated Press are claiming Andrei Arshavin's move to Arsenal is off after the two clubs failed to agree a deal in time. We will keep you up to date on skysports.com to tell when any move is made official.

Wooah!  shocking.gif Don't rely on it too much. Let's wait for the official news from Arsenal.

2. The reason they priced him 15m is because it's their MVP in the team. But, can he do it as well in Arsenal? We don't know. Secondly, is he worth that MUCH or not? He's 27 going 28, Played at Zenit, what about in England? It's different. AW knows what's he's doing.

That's the thing. So, IMHO, it's a little bit over priced.
*
But its common sense as well no ? Negotiations wouldn't even have progressed this far pass the deadline had Arsenal not faxed something to the FA because details on the deadline extension clearly states that parties needing an extension to fax in.

Then we might as well don't sign anyone forever right ? Because regardless of who you sign those same questions will be asked. So why waste money because of all the uncertainty surrounding new signings ? and yes in my opinion he is worth that much. 15m is just about right. And like you said AW knows what he's doing so just let him do the job and just wait and see the results.

I think more like Arshavin will be benched. Seriously. LOL!

Yeap. I don't think he will start as well. Match fitness wise he is still a bit short IMO. Its pre season in Russia currently and he has missed most of Zenit's pre season games because of this transfer saga lol

Just reported on SSN LIVE. Just waiting for the papers from FA to make it official.

I'm heading to bed as well. Hopefully no more twists to this tale lol and I will wake up to Arshavin holding his jersey with Arsene.

Nights guys.

unfortunately that rules apply 4 players who has played in the UEFA cup only...diarra n huntelaar played 4 pompey n ajax respectively...
*
Wrong. Huntelaar did play in the UCL with Ajax during the 2 legged qualifying rounds which Ajax lost.

If I'm not wrong by right Arshavin should be able to play in the Champions League IMO. But then again some sources claims he can't.

Not too sure myself either now

According to my friend in UK, SSN has just reported that the FA lawyers are still reviewing the Arshavin papers thus the delay.

From Gunnerblog

The FA’s Director of Communications, Adrian Bevington, has spoken to the Russian media about the Andrei Arshavin deal:

“Yes, it’s true, the transfer is in doubt. There is a chance it will take us 2-3 days. The odds are 50/50. If the transfer is declared invalid, Arshavin will be returned to Zenit. We can’t rule this out. I don’t think that would be a severe ruling: both clubs had a lot of time to complete it during the window.”

I've already got both our Home and Away jerseys. Anyone know of good places that might just bring in Arshavin's NNs other than Al-Ikhsan ?

I've never had a player's NN printed on any of my jerseys before so kinda noob in this lol.

Another interview here. This time with SkySports.

http://www.skysports.com/video/clips/0,237...4891859,00.html

I love this part the best in this interview:

When asked about what the last few days and weeks been like.

He replied. "It was very hard days for me but now it doesn't matter, now I'm GOONER. It is important" notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
