Hi, may i know around how much is the Mini 2140? Actually i try to get the mini 1001TU (together with the Amax broadband 2 years contract) but later found that my CC credit limit not enough...

In the market i heard Mini 1001tu no longer availabe.. so is Mini 2140 the replacement of it? able to get it below 1.4 k like the mini 1001?

I have UOB / RHB senQ CC only... can i pay installment with that? 0% interest...? btw Linux is like a Windows OS"? not too sure bout linux thing

may I know round how much i hv to pay monthly? can do 2 years installment? 0% interest?

arrrggg...... i just went to Digital mall to check out the Mini 2140... the price is higher than my expectation... RM 1699~= Rm 1.7K~!!!

i wan to try to apply for the Ambank CC.. i hope will approved since i din hv epf or payslip ...just doing fulltime freelancing.

i think none using ambank CC... rm1699 is omost too expensive.. i think will try to apply the Ambank cC one myself... i wish to pay by installment too

So we able to make these upgrades with HP & pay installment with Ambank CC for 12 months? Im not too sure with the SUSE package.... no windows? Just DOS? sorry mind to explain... And i am assuming that the original Mini 2140 comes with the winXP + bluetooth But the Ambank package comes without these 2? correct me if im wrong pls.

Btw what does the Bluetooth thing do? work like handphone BT? in wat way should we use it for? I nvr hv laptop or anything mobile device b4 so dont know much of it.

I'll call HP regarding these or shall I call Ambank ?????

If im getting the one with Linux can i install Windows by myself? How do i Transfer the installation file into the netbook?

Just call HP this morning asking bout the Ambank CC with 2140 mini. She is very good n friendly... and even knows bout lowyat.net. cause she ask where i got the info bout it...

But then my problem now is i dont have AMbank CC... tomolo go try to apply... hope can make it in time.

Rm 1299 with linux + no bluetooth.

Rm 1599 with XP + Bluetooth ...

Rm 1299/ 1599 + rm 100 extra for other NON Ambank CC.... Forgot to ask her bout upgrade to 2gb ram / 6 batteries

It seems like HP 2140 is out of stock everywhere.. check from lowyat. n few HP dealers.... n it seems like other shops also not selling this.. how come?

May i know how am i going to install windows xp myself if im getting the 2140 with linux? is the process complicated and dangerous?

i nvr hav a mobile laptop or netbook b4.. if im to install Windowsxp by myself.. will there b other drivers such as "netbook screen, touch mouse, speaker" that i need to install but is only available when we buy the 2140 with XP from HP themselves? Or does it work like just install xP by ourselves in desktop computer?

i hv a 8gb thumbdrive.. I can copy the disc into the thumbdrive and install right? thinking wanna save this rm 300 for d windows

ian, round how long does it take to order the mini 2140 from HP through phone? They will send it straight to door right? i was thinking to get myself this new toys for my own coming birthday..hahahah

Guys.. wanna ask...If i wan to get 2gb of ram for 2140... is it better to Buy directly from HP n ask for the 2GB ram? or upgrade ourself outside later on... which one cheaper?

Ohhhh!!!.. I thought the Hp 2140 only available through Online buying... ! Thats good... cause i search everywhere in lowyat & none selling and even HP opposite lyt oso says its like DISCONTINUED!! donno when will restock .. keep asking me to buy the "1001" new model..

Thanks Ian, I will try Mid Valley HP end of this week then.. Hope there isnt any problem... So i just get the standard package which i assume Rm 1699 with windows XP.. and later get the 2GB Ram outside at rm 90... then baru hunt for a good pouch for it... cant wait..

yeah yea.. i forgot the actual number so i said "1001" new model..haha.. the appearance look d same as the 1001Tu but i think is not worth since it is only 80Gb... The guy even convince me to get external harddisc at round rm 300 as a solution (= same price as 2140 oredi) BUT I WAN THE NICE METAL BUILD QUALITY OF 2140 n its BUILD IN INTERNAL HARDISC.. really a bad salesman....

Isnt it d same material as the 1001tu... which is suppose to be Plastic.... which will leaves the surface with many finger prints.

Will try to bargain for a 2Gb ram upgrade then other stupid mouse or carry case which sure I find them ugly & doesnt go well with the sleek looking 2140


I wonder wat will happen if I am to install 3dsMAX into this babe... Definately i will need Photoshop CS3 & Adobe Bridge in it.
