Hi all , we have added another server for World At War and would like to get some feedback on what kind of gameplay u guys prefer and what map.

any other suggestions also welcomed. we are all ears;

MBT tactical would be on Hard core mode while Home of heroes would be normal.

in line with the initial plan to do an online mini tourney for world at war, we have 2 servers to do it now. so should be better.

i prefer WAR because it reflects the true nature of combat! Also somewhat minimize the "spawn behind enemy" mishaps.

Is the server setup yet? could you post the new server's ip so i can directly add to my favourite list. Im having trouble listing down servers from the internet list. Thanks!

doit snd hardcore leh..im so craving wanna play snd hardcore like modern warfare..

i also like WAR and also Capture the flag mode. so much fun, but the crowd must be fun also la. if all like want tdm or snd till puke. paiseh. btw ip address added at 1st post. all same ip diff port .. bvpn buleh!

the tactical server will be more on SND if majority likes it.

last nite we have a sudden influx of oversea players. pings up to 600ms.. lol it really does lags the server alot, how can they play with 600ms!!

Sometime I do want to play other match beside TDM. SnD map will be good. As when people get pawn too much in TDM they tend to let the steam off by playing different maps.

Haha you know whats funny ? When i first got the game last Friday, i created a non dedicated map just to see what the mp maps are like. To my surprise, about 15 players or so joined my game. I was like wtf is going on lol. These guys were with 400+ pings and they stayed and played. Me running the game, meant i had no lag whatsover, so it was a good 1 hr of quite literally free xp. Then i patched the game and cant seem to be able to get much luck with people joining my own mp games.

I wanna ask, is the server everyday filled with people? Full? half full or empty always?

This seems to be a common problem faced by this server. It happens every now and then and its supposed to be resolved but unfortunately not. Apologies

Sorry guys, for the last 2 hours, the server was down due to the update of patches by Microsoft which auto restart the server without alerting us. It should be up and online now.

As for the heavy packet, klang valley got streamyx problem and maybe some other areas as well and then as wally said, if you cannot get connected, blame it on treyarch for having such a ridiculously stupid verification system that keep saying you are offline even though you can ping the server and surf the internet.

Don't know where to put this, but I figured might as well post it here because I think wallydragon was in that game too . . . FpS . . .

You see last night while playing Upheavel there was this player PETSHOPBOYS whom seem to be immortal. His outlook was somewhat different - German uniform with goggles, more similar in fashion to those Uber Soldat in Return to Castle Wolfenstein, with the darker appereance and all. He went for knifing spree concluding the round at 39 - 0, of course he said he didn't hack or anything - pinch of salt, but in the previous map, Airfield, his gameplay would seem normal.

Anyone have any idea what's going on? Hack? Glitch? Supernatural?

Yes, I noticed that as well. There seems to be quite a few players like that hanging around. Guys that can use his magnum with 6 bullets and get 6 kills. Guys that uses the carbine M1 that can fire at the rates of a Thompson and can kill you even before you can lift your weapon to aim at them.
Similiarly, their score will show some ridiculous figure like 1000-1.

'Pro's like this will be observed at the MBT server and video taken to access if he is really good or just plain hacking. Fps however is a Hong Kong server and the admin there is a guy called 'ii_tank'.

Yes, I've observed there's alot of 'pro's like those in FpS. One of the new feature I’ve encountered recently was when I was killed by a guy in second chance with a TT-33 that fire in 3 round burst ; Holy Sh*t it’s a Glock 18 !!!

So you are ItuKamu...hahaha....the grenade launcher guy...hi hi. The days of these 'pro's' are numbered as the admin on the fps server is now observing such players due to complains they heard and they may turn on punkbuster as well. Whether or not can detect is another matter I guess.

yeap. We now have only 1 server going. The other server had been ended for some time now. The Heroes server will be going for some time yet so hope to see you online.

Recently my friend profile just got wiped clean for no apparent reason. First he was joining MBT server, then he got one of the usual error message when unable to establish connection, next thing he know his 10th Prestige scores and achievements is now reset back to 0. What gives? And is there any way to sort of retrieve his profile back? We even tried System Restore but that didn’t solve the problem either . . .

Any feedback on the matter is very much appreciated.

In the mean time, PTRS-41 ftw!! T&C applies.

Actually there's 2 profiles on the PC that I've System Restored, profile 1 = the operational one and profile 2 = the affected one. The thing after system restored both profiles retains its statistics, i.e. no difference between before and after system restored. Meaning to say the profile folder in User – [Username] Local – App Data – Activision – profile – [profile name] doesn’t really store the profile stats . . .

So I would like to know is it possible to backup profile in the first place, and if possible how can it be done?

since its lost now.....i dont know how to retrieve it anymore.

...because it is a major content update, with 3 new mp maps and a new improved zombie map.

New (official) zombie map! this one kind of interesting where you can activate the power grids to urn on health vendors and stuff.
Is the server updated yet? Im gonna hang around in the server for a while later and try to invite someone for the new zombie map. Anyone with me?

Server updated with the latest patch. Ori only at the moment. I havent got time to test cause my client not yet updated.
Those already updated their client, join and see if this update is working or not.

The patch working fine.

Three new maps = Knee Deep, Station and Nightfire, first map being Japanese map while the other two are German, with lots of concealed spots, half demolished structures aplenty and pretty large map to boot, Rattenkrieg at its best. Haven't play the nazi_zombie_asylum yet, maybe later today ;p

just last night i try all new map.... really intersting.... kaiser where are you nowday.... i missed killing you with knife... come join me play... always play at 12 midnight hehehehe... now day always play with wally and itukamu.... silentscope just come back from holiday i think....come come populate mbt server

erm there is some error in your statement,no wories already corrected for you,no need to thanks me....i was arround,nowdays back to cod4 anyhow that day was talking to nastey bout playing it but all the time check its empty...was pawnage yesterday in some public tdm server but then saw few malaysian nick there was able to play few round then they just left leaving 5-6 player only no more fun leh...

I be applying free for all patch to the server cause it seems the bad challenge and online issues still not resolve. I dont get it, you can play in COD4 which means u online, but it said you are offline in cod5.

err what happen to the server last night.... can't see it.....zzzzz....... anyone play cod5 tonight?

yeah cant find the server yesterday....if it is up tonight im going to take a spin over there.

Server is down for time being. The 1.4 patch has made it unstable and the guys at BVPN are still trying to sort it out. Humble apologies DAMN I like station map.

I'm not sure whether I should apologise for the downtime or I should just scream at treyarch and tmnet. You guys be the judge. Here's what happened:
1. Patch 1.4 updated and applied. Server ran pretty well without issue for 48 hours.
2. Yesterday onwards it keeps restarting itself, and BVPN, thats me, stay-up whole nite and day today trying to figure out WHY
3. Give up on this since a lot of other servers having the same issues with this treyarch/punkbuster
4. Looking back, I realised the stupidity of the game designers in trying to secure this game is the root of the problem. IP address not recognised by either ori or cracked version.
5. YEP, IP ADDRESS 202.71.97.x subnet is no longer supported by treyarch/punkbuster for unknown reason or maybe tmnet did some magical routing last 24 hours that cause this
6. SERVER IS NOW WORKING AFTER CHANGING THE IP ADDRESS, luckily we got a few diff subnets given to us by tm, so I changed and walla...

MBT - NEW IP ADDRESS: 202.71.104.167 and port 28960 (default)
Version - 1.4 open

Lets see how long this subnet will last.

Last night was the gaming good ; good ping and good attendance, but I think they should change "Nemesis" to "PwnG" and "PwnD" like how KolRapskinMy was PwnG ItuKamu and/or when ItuKamu was PwnD by KolRapskinMy. "Nemesis" just doesn't do justice for both the pawners and the pawnees.

Still felt very lost in Nightfire but the ambient was good, until then PTRS ftw!

Seems like the cracked version no longer work. Visit the http://www.bagdadcafe.se/e107_plugins/cont....php?content.48 if you have error punkbuster 81407 corrupted file/memory when playing in MBT.

Punkbuster implemented a new block that actually check the MD5 of the exe to play. So if you non ori, u get kicked.

How’s the MW scene lately? If I were to play MW I’ll try out M14 and M21 first, the design simply appeals to me. Hey, how about you play some WaW and try out the father and grandfather of M14 & M21, the M1 Garand and the Springfield M1903 respectively. It’ll be great to get to know the family members.

And if M14 and/or M21 is not your thing, you can meet up with Mosin-Nagant, who were guarding the Motherland before SVD did. And there’s the grand daddy of ALL assault rifle, the StG44. And do you know in those days rifle grenade launcher actually fires a hand frag grenade?? Bet you can’t stuff a hand grenade into your M203 40mm rifle grenade launcher, don’t cha??

What’s that? We don’t have helicopter you say? Yes we may not have helicopter and such in our battlefield but our dogs can float through barriers and storm into buildings. Finally our PTRS-41 can be compacted into 1 man handle all rounder package, I can blow up tank and I can pop body parts with it. *splat*

You see CoD WaW is a vibrant and colorful thing but it’s getting late. And as such, I hope to see you in the battlefield. Support MBT server, support Malaysian CoD WaW scene. CoD WaW mau dan boleh!

you should also mention the first submachinegun could use some love, the Thompson .

I got that one covered ; I've entered Prestige and at the moment I have nothing but my Thompson to rank up the score. My Thompson has the suppressor and my Springfield has the bayonet, the rest of the weapon = Untouch.

Between Springfield and PTRS, the former has a slightly longer scope in animation compared to the latter, but that being said, the delay allow one, or possibly make it easier to do the quickscope – well not that it matter if you stumble good players . . . and all that being theorycraft of course ;p

Go go level 41 and 57 . . .

Why sometimes I still heard those *bleep* conversation over voice chat, even though I’ve manually turned off the voice chat feature. Usually I get pieces of the conversation, sometimes, however, the conversation will be a debate about who’s the n00b-ier player, you-want-a-piece-of-me-boy talk, flying curse-a-ton, and meet me in limbo so I can smack you upside down, beach, n00b you this . . . grrr . . .

Thankfully, this only happens in oversea game server, e.g. FpS, wodgamers, etc. Good ‘ol MBT server is clean from such distasteful flamer troller culture, Bravo!! The server does, however, sometimes, have players that can shoot Gewehr as fast as the MP40 – “Outstanding Marine!! Out-fcuk1ng-standing!!”. I wonder if the Microsoft Sidewinder allows me to shoot like that . . .

Semi-auto rifles shoot as fast as you click the mouse so its very deadly at close range hip shooting.
