who stars in this movie?

Alan Moore's graphic novel revolves around the murder case of Jack The Ripper.... starring Johhny Depp & Heather Graham. Pretty graphic dis movie... gory murders but stylish thriller dat is... ohmy.gif

For those who got time to spare:  tongue.gif

Blu-Ray Pricing
*
"To me, it's all about value. Am I getting more value out of a respective Blu-ray film that I'm paying more for than its DVD alternative? At a $10 difference, the film better be a blockbuster hit with outstanding visuals. If it doesn't have both, I'll choose the DVD. But if the price difference is nominal and rentals are priced just $1 apart, I'll pick Blu-ray every time."

Being 'blockbuster' or not is rather subjective to me but 'outstanding visuals' is definitely the one to look for especially in HD! (& audio too...) I've so far have no problem with new/recent movies but older/catalog titles can be tricky... some are good & some really crappy, not worth its bd label.. tongue.gif

If: Optimum Price = Outstanding Quality, then its worth it nod.gif

I recommend the 'Taukeh-s' in here should start retail blu-rays locally & rival to Speedy's ridiculous pricing... sure more people will embrace bd... biggrin.gif tongue.gif

I don't see dvd becoming obsolete or extinguish totally at least for the next 5 years or so.. because dvd is quite superior in quality unlike vhs or vcd. And... I'd put bluray as a niche product, a class above others.. so price can still be slightly higher than dvd generally because of its superiority in quality. But during these bad times, that has to change especially when my bd collection is mounting and the resistance to the bd poison is becoming thinner... if the price going down faster, the better... whistling.gif biggrin.gif

That's why I love my PS3. You will be surprised what PS3 can do with your 700MB AVI movie files. It is excellent video upscaler, much much better than VCD and sometimes up to par with DVD. U can even add the subtitles on your file and PS3 can display them on the screen. I mostly download those very hard to find, sickly disturbing films, foreign films etc. I won't sell my PS3 if I have a new BD player. biggrin.gif

Yup, I second to dat! I've been enjoying dat all this while too... thumbup.gif Problem is, mine is nearly full, need to upgrade my 40Gb tongue.gif

Everything about PS3 is veli good! Onli downside (at least to me) are:

1. No front panel display (ok lor, its a game console to start with... tongue.gif )
2. Disc slutting mechanism (I meant 'slot' biggrin.gif ) which I don't quite fancy, me prefer tray
3. Too many steps to switch off machine doh.gif

But those only my opinion on PS3 as a BD player je... if as a game console: tip-top! notworthy.gif

Hell Boy II was shot with 1.85:1 aspect ratio (so did Hellboy, the 1st movie)... dats y it almost fit our 16:9 HDTVs. Spielberg loves this academy flat ratio too... check Jurassic Park
