Hi, you should really try Currumbin Beach Viking Surf Club's seafood platter, it's really worth the money. However it's a bit far from Surfer Paradise.
Should you go over, you can also stop by Currumbin Wild Life Sanctuary. You can purchase the ticket upfront in order to get discount.
This 2 activities shall spend you around more than half a day

Nice seeing your recommendation here. One of my itinerary will be travel from Melbourne (Philips Island) to Gold Coast. From Philips Island itself, currently I'm considering Penguin parade, Koalas Conservation, Churchill Island Heritage Farm and Nobbies Antarctic Journey. Not sure I should skip Koala Conservation and Churchill island heritage and proceed to Currumbin Wild Life ? Recommendation is much appreciated.

Hi All,

I will travel to Gold Coast for 2 nights 3 days.

Searching from Internet, within Gold Coast itself with many theme parks such as Dream World, Sea World, Wet N Wild, Warnes Bros Movie World, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary etc. Can see somehow there with a bit duplicated.

Due to the time that I have, seeking advise and recommendation for the best pick. Thanks in advance.

Its based on personal preference.

I like DC super heroes stuff so I went WB Movie World.
I'm afraid of thrill ride so I didn't go DreamWorld.
I went Sea World too and I felt its really worth it.
I didn't went Wet N Wild cuz I didn't like water park.
I went Currumbin but for me if I don't have time I wouldn't go, its just seeing animals.

I would also recommend Optus $2/day plan. It works fine in Gold Coast

Looked into some public transport options in gold coast, sydney and melbourne, looks like they accept credit/debit visa or mastercard? So theres no need to buy an Opal card right?

With Opal card, you get 30% discount on Train fare during off peak and $2.70 flat fee on all public transport on Sunday.
Not sure if that is applicable for credit/debit card. Opal card is free, you just need a minimum reload of $10
Melbourne would have Myki card, not sure about Gold Coast as I have not been there in years

Visited SeaWorld and DreamWorld. Don't see SeaWorld is up to the standard. Singapore SEA or KLCC aquarium even better than SeaWorld. In my opinion you can skip this unless you have nothing to do there.
