i bought my LX3 from C&S 2 weeks ago for rm1520.....

never again cns, bought canned air from them before, sold at double the price sold opposite the street, and i was cns' re-visiting / regular customer.
i actually found out that much later after i stop trading with them (read on for the story). boy was i pissed when i first found out about the overpricing ..

GOOD service is NOT about how well they can talk story to you before and during closure of the deal, but is about how one service you when the product you bought really required after sales services / RMA.

claimed a 18-200 nikon vr i used to had for two times due to VR unit problem, on the 3rd claim they push you back to the distri. my complain would have stop here and i'd still be their regulars, but no, it didn't..
on the 2nd RMA, it took them 3 months and still no one inform me on the status of the RMA, at first i trusted on their service, assuming they would follow through the RMA process, that i didn't bother to check up. (..yeah, like all you happy cns costumers up there..)
but after 3 months, things just don't seemed right anymore, to a point i went to the shop, and they finally found the lens under a pile of lenses, obviously all returned from RMA, that they stuffed in a brown box.
tracing back the documents, the lens was in fact returned from RMA after less than a month. no call, no sms and nothing was done to inform me..
also, it turned out that the lens has a very loose rubber grip at the zoom ring, and i was told i need to do the 3rd claim myself on the grip and the glitches that the vr unit still had..
i left and went straight to MWE plaza for the follow up RMA myself (that's how i found out about there's nikon distri in MWE plaza), only to find out that Nikon distri in MWE was closed that day, at which point my warranty period is at the edge of expiration thanks to the 3 months delay.
luckily after that, Nikon granted me another six month of warranty, fixed the VR and replaced the rubber grips at no charge..

i dun blame them for the grip (it could be nikon's faults too, who knows), but i do blame them for their service attitude and dishonesty in pricing.
after all, what good is nice talks if it's not realized through actions?

Anyone know which shop in Penang is doing monitor calibration service? Thought of wanted to bring my laptop to do calibration.

Buying camera or camera with kit lens. Most shop sell at the same price.

I was thinking to change my sony alpha 100 to either nikon 90d, nikon 5000d or canon t1i (500d). So which one better ah?

i suggest u get semi pro body cause i was like u choosing entry level but soon u'll feel not enough to perform....since u already started using sony...
get a second hand 40D or if u have thick wallet get a new one then.....

First was to think to stick with alpha, coz oledi got the light (got it for RM 1280). But damn no video, after waiting for so long.

Then, got to move to nikon or canon loh. Budget its kinna tide, thats why I cannot buy expensive one. But donno if second hand worth it or not? afraid later rosak oh... ??

see of of canon 500d video, damn nice. Nikon 90d video so so only... But photo quality wise.. nikon seem better.

Well, since got one slr, don't wan to bring extra machine mah. Some more the dslr DOF are higher compare to normal video camera.

And also budget tide. Want to kill 2 birds with one stone. :-)

concentrate on photo first then just play around with videos....lol

Went to CnS last month and bought 450d. firstly they quote me Rm2150 for the kit +bag + 4GB. Nego a bit and finally they quoted me RM2100. strait away bought it because this is the best offer among shop in Penang. Recommended this shop...
