（布城5日讯）高等教育部配合高等教育大策略蓝图的发展计划，今年起提供总值700万令吉奖学金，供400名在国内大学深造的纯理科优秀生申请。

这项特别学术奖学金开放给各族学生，凡在今年新学年取得大学首年学额的优秀生，都可以提出申请。

高等教育部拿督斯里卡立诺丁表示，这项奖学金有别于公共服务局的奖学金，它只让就读纯理科系如化学科学、物理科学、生物科学、数学及建筑系的优秀生申请。

他说：“高教部已准备700万令吉款项，以便每年赞助４００名学生在国内大学就读；毕业后的大学生必须依据合约为高教部服务。”

他也说，每名成功申请者可获得每个月生活津贴700令吉、书本津贴600令吉、仪器津贴２００令吉、课业报告纸张津贴150令吉、论文津贴300令吉、实验津贴及课程学费（直接由奖学金扣除缴付予大学当局）。

他说，若有机会继续派往外国深造，将会继续享有一切赞助的福利。

符合资格者可通过各大学网站或该部网站http//:jpt.mohe.gov.my申请。

申请奖学金条件

申请日期 今年进入大学新学年（６月至7月）

资格 大马国民，不超过22岁，取得大学首年学额。

学术成绩 大马教育文凭或同等资格至少7科A（IA或2A），马来文必须优等。

大马高级教育文凭、大学预料或大学基础班，平均积分至少3.30。

录取程序：

学术成绩 ７０%

课外活动 １０%

经济背景 10%

面试 １０%

It's considered okay already, because jpt pays for your fees and provide you so much allowance xD

but the problem is, i don't know i can get 7As or not LOL!!

im surprise 7A2 also can get scholarship...but is too late to convict....T.T

If you are Mxlxy, 7A also can fly to UK, Australia or New Zealand, sponsor by JPA.

Some even go to oxford .

Added on March 6, 2009, 9:16 pmPUTRAJAYA: Those who want to be academics can now get full scholarships at undergraduate level from the Higher Education Minis-try.

Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the scholarship scheme was open to first-year undergraduates in Physics, Chemis-try, Biology, Mathematical Science and Architecture.

“This is open to students who have been given a place in any of these fields in a public university,” he told reporters after launching the scheme and the e-project management office which manages the National Higher Education Strategic Plan.

Khaled said the objectives of the scheme were to encourage students to obtain their undergraduate degrees in Pure Sciences locally and to produce academic staff in these areas for public universities.

The ministry has 400 places, he said, adding that the students would be bonded to serve the government for a set period of time.
