yes in theory..never tried on my sub300 as my unit working well with suplied cable, then i change to better coaxial cable,,no diffrent at all, but more sexi look...

May i know how you set the AVR 663 for the sub? During tone testing, did you hear the sound in loud for your SUB?

Added on January 7, 2009, 1:43 amI have tested it using Front R + L to connect to my sub, but still no sound. Then when i use my finger touch the RCA terminal, the sub got sound come out. I really no idea how to make it works. Help please

the best way is, go back to the shop u bought, bring along ur AVR and do some test...very2 easy and save time instead to pening ur kepala...

Sorry just wanna ask, did you hear the sound from the sub very loud or just little sound during auto setup or manual setup? i have brought the AVR to a HIFI shop. The guy help me to test the AVR subwoofer pre-out socket. That time the AVR can produce the sound to the subwoofer but the sound very soft during Manual setup. The guy told me that may be my sub cable got problem.

Please let me know your, how is the sound for your Sub300 during setup or testing. Thanks.

I have tested it with almost max volumn, the Sub300 finally got little soft sound come out.

Finally, the Sub and AVR working fine. Now the only thing is how to set the sub300 can produce loudly sound. Is the sub cable quality too bad? or the setting got problem? I really want to know how to make the sub produce loudly sound.

All the SIFU, any suggestion or idea?

Have u tried to set ur cut off on the back of ur sub? maybe ur cable got problem or maybe it was setting on ur avr..where do u stay?

how u set ur cut-off freq? and ur avr's SW setting u set to BOTH? try set all ur speakers to small and test it by watching movies with lotsa explosions..

During manual/auto setup, i have tried few different cut off, i hv tried to set the sub cut off to lowest 40Hz, hight 200Hz, and 80Hz. I use the provided subwoofer cable to connect my AVR and sub. Now i guess it counld be the cable or avr setting problem.

I stay at Kajang, near Sungai Chua there.

i will test it with watching movies with those alots of explosions one. see the sub will produce louder sound or bass or not.


I have another question, if i want to listen song in CD or Mp3, can the sub also produce sound with bass or not, or only the 2 front speakers produce sound. If then how to make the bass / LFE go to subwoofer?

Set ur cut-off freq to 200hz, AVR SW to BOTH and u can get more bass now..

if you have speakers set to large set your sub to yes or plus.otherwise set all speakers too small @ about 100hz C/Over.Now you should hear sub & speakers.Do you have phantom multi-channel surround on av amp?you could try that also!

Added on January 18, 2010, 11:02 pmI got the s606 hcs-8 and it is better than the jbl es-800 cinepack esp. the subwoofer.I hope hope nothing goes wrong with it (sub300),its great!
