naa。。cam on phone will never as nice as digital cam. i already got pana luMix LX3..it does it job pretty well. Some people expecting too much in phone cam. without proper lighting, even a dsrl will take Sucky photo. also mega pixel is not main factor, is the leN that matter(fast and bright lens)
*
agree with u...
as long as the picture looks quite ok after resizing to VGA rsolution then i'm fine because usually i resize the pictures i took to VGA before uploading to my facebook even for those taking using DSLR laugh.gif laugh.gif ..
i never print my pictures though so i don't care about resolution.

I am still confused about getting an E71 or 5800, can anyone recommend me some really strong points about getting 5800 instead of E71?

And which phone would last 3,4 years + in terms of future proofbility (is that even a word?) and style?
*
the key is list down what u need in a phone because those 2 phones are targeted towards different market segment.

sample pics in broad daylight, no editing only resized. please bear in mind original size is not good at all.
the sky turns purplish in the picture, not really blue.

I just need a phone with MAXIMUM functionality and still look sexy. I'm a bit wary about 5800 as a touch-screen music player since i got my own iPod touch to molest everyday.

Should I get the same thing twice?
*
u don't need ipod touch and 5800 together..
i sold my ipod touch after i bought my 5800 because their functionality is the same to me and i don';t have to carry my phone and ipod everwhere i go now. laugh.gif

After 5 days own this phone...nothing problem with me...took 2 day to study the sms because this is my 1st touch screen...last night just installed nearly 600 songs..performance looks nice...i really love this turtle.....hehehehe....not REGRET buying it....
*
now i prefer to use mini qwerty..it's not not bad at all even though first impression is like impossible to type with very small keys laugh.gif
just try it and u'll love it..
my successful rate is on par with ipod touch qwerty nod.gif

strange, i find it okay wor. quite smooth.

maybe i dun have high expectations for the video.
*
maybe he meant jagged video when the camera moves so fast?
i think if jagged, it happens to all nokia video recording not exclusively happen to 5800.
the smoothness is there, only a bit jagged when the camera pan or moves too fast.

regarding grainy video...i used to own N93 for a while...the video is very grainy and almost black and white under low lighting, perhaps 5800 grainy-ness is slightly better than my old N93.

but anyway all VGA quality recording will look good on CRT TV, try it and you'll amazed at the quality on your CRT TV screen rclxms.gif

I wonder whether the APN for Maxis HSDPA is different. Found an old thread here which says it's "maxisbb" instead of "unet". Haven't test it yet though. Or I have to set the default packet mode to 3G instead HSDPA (is there such setting on the phone?) I've called Maxis support, they are aware of the model I'm using, but the settings they sent just doesn't work.  hmm.gif
*
maxisbb AP is strictly for maxis broadband subscribers...

so true..
for me.. we have to know what we want to buy right?
all phone specs are readily available on the net so just compare the specs and function according to what we need in a phone that we want to buy
