Yeah, but feel free to join us anytime. We aren't even a full band yet so it's okay for anyone to butt in.

1. No singers yet, but you can definitely join!

2. Ok, well, singer gets a special request. What song would you like to sing?

3. I'd say we're still at 50% mark. Here's the plan
a) For the time being, plan as if we're creating a multi-submission youtube video
b) Since the drummer is only able to play Ash Like Snow for now, first step is to record him (somehow) playing it
c) Misao is next to record guitar (he played rhythm last time, and quite good!). Will have to find another time to record him since he's not available this week.
d) Eccen, if ye have the time, we'll need you to study and play the lead guitar
e) I'll need to re-record my bass portion at lower octaves to match the actual song
f) Lastly, seek help from hiroko to sing Ash Like Snow. This is the tricky part. Singing REALLY needs a studio to sound good. She can try to sing on my DAC, but my house is not 'noise free'.

4. This week's goal is at least to get 3 b)

@.@ im not available this sat.
first of all, whats the purpose of the recording? not just a small jamming only? tongue.gif means, jam for fun...
Am I the only girl here ? @.@
Ash like snow... I heard it before. Not familiar with it. But it's not a problem. I can get familiar with it. smile.gif

1. Hmmm... the ultimate goal is to be able to jam... on stage... at say, Daicon or Com Fest

2. To do that, like all good bands, the band needs members that are interested (better yet passionate), reasonably skilled (since anime songs are not easy) and have good chemistry

3. The progression is as follow:
a) individual practice sessions
b) group practice sessions
c) studio jam sessions
d) outdoor jam sessions

4. We're still stuck at 3 a) and 2). As of today, the two guitarist (Misao & Eccen) and myself are committed. Our current drummer is at best 1/4 part time. We can't progress fast if this is the case. I truly believe that the cornerstone of a band is the drummer. I'm even offering free access to my drum set (no need to rent jamming studio) every weekend I'm on land if one has the spirit to be a drummer.

5. And lastly, we don't have a singer on board. I do believe a singer should start joining in when 3 b) is secured.

6. For those doing 3 a), I do encourage to get recorded and post on youtube. Consider it as a 'right of passage' before even attempting to do group practice. Plus, once the recordings are complete, Tsubasa and help join those videos and sound file into a single multi-submission video. With such video, it gives confidence to the future (hint) singer that we're serious.

7. And yes, I wish we have a bit more gender balance in this endeavor. But as you can see, wishes are just wishes tongue.gif. When the time comes for that group practice session, we might need to ask our resident gal /as representative, Sakuradesune, to keep you accompanied smile.gif.

I finished god knows, my love is a stapler, and perfected my sobakasu. But the sound is too mellow coming out of an old amp and tele squire copy. For the song we want to play(especially sobakasu since the opening part need a fatter overdrive), I have a blues driver but don't know if it'll make up for it. With my ME-20 gone, how I wish I had a better guitar now sweat.gif. Probably getting one epiphone SG( and guess what, my dad bought my bro an EP les paul doh.gif , well, he shows more enthusiasm than i do ) after my economy stabilizes.

Pay attention to the background instruments. Actually, there's no proper bass in the song, so, the temptation is to give it one...

Added on October 31, 2009, 9:31 amSad update... recording canceled for this week... drummer need to take care of kids
