We can do either, but I guess it helps if we know which song to play. Throughout this thread the following has been proposed
a) God Knows
b) Ash Like Snow
c) JOINT
d) Minami-ke S1 OP???
e) Melt (though that will break fingers)

Again, Ash Like Snow is a reasonable starting point. So go ahead and start posting yer youtubes of whatever instrument you can play for this song - in two flavors - with background music and without.

Aw...You guys playing for live jam session ? That would be fun !!!

Eccentrical : You can either play the rhythm or the lead . Up to you ... Either one works !

Now all that's left is the video. Inexperience recording artist here sweat.gif.

About the Live jamming session, I manage to reserve a female vocalist. However, the more candidates the merrier. Also any voulenteer for male vocalist who is around kajang > cheras > klang valley area are welcomed.

@Hermes: Good voice for Anime Songs. To get stamina, you need to jog... like 2-3km per day if you can.

@Riku: Which part of Cagayake Girls can you play with that 'orchestra' - guitar, keyboard or bass? I'm trying to get the bass...

To all, I'm not sure if the TS (Dish) is still in this idea, but Eccentric's in, I'm in, Hermes probably in, and Riku... I have to convince Stone to pick-up his drum, or we have to lurk for a new drummer.

BTW, we can still start with the easier music piece. I still agree with starting with Gundam 00 S1 2nd OP - Ash Like Snow. Anyone else?

vocal part. Guitar is hard to intimidate, and the heavy bass is hard to get the tone on the instrument.

I think the Love Stapler-something is practical for a jamming session nod.gif.

Beli Gibson Epiphone Les Paul murah gak, dalam RM2k, rase kalau pakai fender lagi smart beli fender la.

Today after a nice chat with Myclamyra(still hard to get his name right sweat.gif) we are making a list of easier song to play as a warm up, then we can start jamming. As for vocalist, we already have one but places are still open because we still dont have a male vocalist and rythm guitar. About the guitar, I'm willing to teach the basics if anyone interested.

Wah Thalmes, I guess it's a different interpretation of the song... anyway here's my version

Played it at a higher octave.

@Eccentrical: Nice meting you. Didn't know that there's a sizable /AS in Semenyih-Kajang-Bangi-Putrajaya Area

Hmmm... ok, so far we have
a) Guitar - Setsukyie (Kuching), Brian O'Connor(Taiping) for video jam, Kusakabemisao, Ultimaweaponx, lightnokira for real jam
b) Bass - Thalmes for video jam, myself for real life jam
c) Drums - Eccentrical (convert from guitar), backup Stones
d) Vocals - so far Misshermes, riku2replica and gukichan has posted here
e) Wanna join - shah, wolfx, yafex
f) Other notables - BelowAverage, dishwasher (the TS!!!)

For those interested, post here (or pm) your location AND the distance in which you are able to travel to. I'll start first, I'm in Kajang, with range all the way to Cyberjaya, Shah Alam and Kota Damansara. I can pick up Eccentrical if he wants to save fuel.

I'm guessing that the vocals are still an unknown. Since like 75%+ of anime songs are from female singers, we MUST have one. From what I gather through Eccentrical, some of them might need some help in terms of logistics. Heck I wouldn't mind arranging and paying a pick-up taxi for the vocal, so long as we can have some amount of singing.

In terms of $$$, don't worry. If yer a bit cash strapped, I can fund the studio time and co-fund a drum set,

For the jamming studios, the thread below lists some
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/168736/+20

I'm familiar with Artrax and Prosound in Bangi, and AkarKarya in Damansara

I think don't worry about the vocalist that much . You can get a rhythm guitarist to sing it be it a boy or a girl . You can make your own variations. That's what a cover is about.

About the video jam ... I'm not sure whether anyone want to do it or not ... Apparently Eccentrical is doing a song with me but he has a bit of problem recording. I think kusakabemisao can do it . I don't know about others. Come to speak of it , kusakabemisao ... Wanna do it with me ? xD

For, now, maybe i just need a new string set sweat.gif. Carrying on with the practicing, and yes, my little bro is as good as me in terms of guitar playing, but he is busy with exception on weekends. His keyboard skill are superior than me though.
