Depends on the battery life. If it is above 95%, it won't charge even if you've plugged in. whenever i was at office, i keep my MBA charged or with power plugged in.

Based on my observations, I will only charge the battery if it is below 40%, the less charge frequency the better. Not sure if others feel the same thou. But that will not consider as one charge cycle, if you charge it from > certain % of battery left.
