Wiilcome to the Fwiicinating Wiirld of Wii!!!

The easiest way to get yourself online with Wii is to set up a wireless network at home,
and the Wii will detect the network with a few simple steps.

BUT, the quality of online play really rely on the ISP quality.
And Mario Kart Wii does have the best online option so far.
You already have a DS right? The Wii online mechanism won't be too different from the DS one.

The best thing available for Wii online is WiiWare and Virtual Console,
nothing came near to the quality of games it offered.
SONY and Microsoft is not even near Nintendo, when it came to Virtual Console.
WiiWare gave u a breath of great games, like LostWind and World of Goo.
Gotta try for yourself to find out.

Remember, when Wii ask u to select country, select BRAZIL (if u own a US Wii),
then u can use Malaysia Credit Card to purchase WiiPoint.

Hate to burst ur bubble but the virtual console feels like another emulator .. i mean i could play all those classics and more on a pc or a psp without paying for it .. although ill admit the wiiware games are pretty good..

Most Wii games are not too serious on having a good connection. If you REALLY want the best connection you'll have to invest in the wired adapter which is costly, where else by getting a wireless router, you can use it for PCs, DS, PSP, and etc. etc.

I dunno about GHWT, but I had no problems playing GH3 online, internationally(seldom), but was perfect with LYN users(both East and West, thanks Sheep and Alvin and Keeying biggrin.gif) unless someone's hogging the internet(both client and host).

Mario Kart was great because Nintendo did it well. Very well for a 'Nintendo' online game whistling.gif I had a game with the LYN Nintendo people(about 10?) and it was perfect, and full of challenge and adrenaline thumbup.gif

Virtual Console is a legal and legitimate way to obtain classic games,
of course u could also do that on Emulator - But that is Piracy / Stealing.
That is against the law. If Nintendo care to sue, people could end up in jail.

Most of the case, the game many people emulate is not even abandon-ware.

OOO nice guys ... thanks for the reviews of the compatible list of games you guys have tried

Yah will get a router soon cos i dont know y my existing PLANEX USB54mini2g which i always used with my DS online, doesnt run with my WII

Not compatible ka with my Wii ?
I have seen the list of compatible ones from LYN a thread but tis model was not stated so i guess so ?

Problem is my WII can't seem to find the access point of my wifi whereas my wifi is connected with my pc and also my WII
SO 100% is nothing to do with wall or any blockage
But it just can't Detect my acess point of my planex

Whereas my WII can detect a few access points from my neighbours
Sad .. guess i have to get a compatible router ?
Any comments ?

So far I've both experiences with SSBB and AC:CF. My Wii is about 3 meter from the router (AzTech DSL605EW) and is separated by a brick wall.

SSBB: Most of the time can get connected, but usually apparently no one online to play with. Also, online play quite lag when I play with friend from Texas.

AC:CF: So far, best experience. Friend from Texas have no problem dropping in, and I have no problem visiting her town.

PaiGeWonG: Check your router settings. Some router can be partially compatible, but transmission channel must be 1 or 11. If still fail then maybe you can force manual configuration. Another problem is that a neighbour WiFi router is on a same channel as yours and is interfering with your channel. That one you need to get a PDA or laptop with sniffer software and scan the area.

Tetris Party? I haven't tried it yet, but people here were raving about it for some time.

Also, as an Animal Crossing fanatic, I must mention Animal Crossing City Folk. Most people agree that the game can be fully enjoyed offline, but it is better experienced online with friends.

Call of duty world at war. I'm on like lvl 38 now. Even with lags sometimes.

It only lags if you play on far away host. Therefore if more people are playing in our region = less lag.
