never quit ur job before u have found another job .. and when I say another job means with offer letter of course..

as for resign during probation let me u share with you my experience ..

this year only I have worked with 4 companies .. I resigned from a GLC on march and joined a software house company .. the reason I gave them is I want to learn new skills and new technology .. I was given 4 months probationary period.. I'm not satisfied with the current company at that time because they don't pay me my EPF and that's the reason I gave to the company that interviewed me.. again I'm not satisfied with the new company because they do not provide a proper handover and so after 2months I left and joined another company with that reason ...

what i'm actually trying to say here.. make sure u have a good reason when the company that interviewed you ask why u want to leave.. don't simply say because I don't like the people there.. I cannot tahan then workload for example la eh... sometimes u need to lie at that point .. just simply say that u look for better opportunity .. that company pay ur salary late.. after all .. whats the point working there if your don't feel like working ..

wah..resign from GLC??..hehe, well everyone have their own choice, but as oplotot say, don't worry, i oso resign during probation coz unhappy with the company and management (almost 10 ppl resign during my 2 month there) and the field is more to electronics compare my field in mechanical, so find other job after 1 month, and lucky got one suit me well so far, during intvw i just said previous job not suit my field and lack training provided, after dat give 1 month notice (they change from 2 weeks to 1 month coz too many resign)....and i start my current new job..no holiday, resign Friday, Monday start working new company...hahha

but currently due to economy crisis, better u confirm get other job first before resigning, if not really waste...just stay until u get better one...

Hi hi...i'm having the same feeling as well...This is the 2nd company that i work for, and currecntly is the 3rd months. I feel like resigning as well is because i feel boring about it, i din really have works to do. As i entering this company, i have been boring for the 1st month, as my colleagues also told that 1st month will be free and try to enjoy the honey moon month. rclxms.gif But now almost the end of the 3rd month, i still feel boring. sweat.gif I can't said there is nothing to learn but not much. I feel like joining those software house company, any recommendation?? tongue.gif

Best way is to *try* and see if the MNC can interview you after work hour, maybe 6pm.

Just bear in mind, for MNC interview you are but one of many candidates, usually. So don't just throw away your confirmed employment for an opportunity.

Try to go for it . if you get employment from MNC, you can quit your small co as i believe only 24 hours notice is required. just say the work not suit you lor, best to protect you and your future company too.

I'm now in my new job about 4 months.  This is the first full-time job I ever had and I'm quite unhappy with my job.  (working environment and the job scope).  I'm so unmotivated to learn new things given my current job.

I'm planning to look for a new job after new year but I'm told that the economic now is really bad and it's not easy to find a job now + terminating employment within probationary period looks bad in the resume.

Anyone can give any suggestions on that?

Oh gosh... Your situation now slightly same with what happened to me now... I'm already embarked my career for past 6-month and still in probation period. The working environment ain't the issues. The issues were i'm not really felt happy with my current job. Partly because my superior too harsh toward me as I'm can't fulfill her highly expectation. She even din gave any motivation to me as a fresh staff, instead always push me again and again. I'm really suffocated.

Because of that, my passion to work and learn slowly came down till sometimes i'm felt so struggle on it. Yes, i do have intend to look for a new job but slenderly worried with current economic meltdown. So I directly told my boss that I don't have interest with what i'm doing right now and request to transfer another department. She said ok but subject to replacement. Even so, indeed my heart, I really want to change to another company. But scared at the end of the day, sitting at home eating dust only. sleep.gif sleep.gif

Hi..wana ask

if in offer letter not disclosed any termination term during probational period..it just mention termination is 3months notice/3 months pay by either party.

so within probation period did the same rules applied?

coz what iam thinking is probation period should have lesser termination notice compared with after confirmation right??

Hi there!

"triad", all you need is to do is READ and ASK. Read through the content in your Contract of Service (CoS). There should be a clause stipulated with the termination of employment/probationary period.

If you can't find it, just chalk it up to HR Department. It is as simple as that. Quite a typical routine procedure.

Regards, Joey

p.s: I would not disclose the notice period that you should serve and the payments' in lieu strictly because it varies from one company to another.

thts the problem..but afaic the cost of sending lawyer is much more than 3times salary.and new job already started.

n i dun think they gonna find lawyer to sue as the cost will be more than the salary and the company basically manage the stock exchange and i dun think less than 10k giving them too much attention.

you can write down your reasons for leaving and provide a good and bombastic talk to the interviewer, he or she might be impressed by you smile.gif interviewer normally won't discriminate you unless your reasons of leaving is that you had done fraud or you are incompetent
