iPhone Nano Ad(Leaked)

user posted image

Mr. Blurry Cam leaked another ad, this time showing us an iPhone Nano in various colors. Is this gonna be the new iPhone Nano that everybody is talking about? Well, we don’t know yet, we have to wait a couple weeks to find out at MacWorld 09’ when Phil Schiller take the stage and deliver his “boring” keynote.

I personally believe it in the way that Apple need to get into the “Cheap Smartphone Market” and drop a $99.00 model with less features but the same elegance and functionality the iPhone 3G sports.

Leave a comment if you think this ad is the real thing or it’s just a Photoshop.

iPhone Nano Concept Photo?

It seems the "iPhone Nano" is the rumor that is going take the spotlight ahead of this year's Macworld, and while MacRumors is publishing these photos and rumors, we have some serious doubts about the likelihood of such a device. These doubts are based both in the quality of the sources as well as the practicality of introducing a new form factor to the iPhone/iPod Touch platform.

This image, which was submitted anonymously, provides a glance at what the rumored iPhone nano may look like. The images appear consistent with previously released case designs for the rumored device.

More Hints of an 'iPhone Nano' from Case Manufacturers

user posted image

iPhone case manufacturer XSKN has labeled a section on their site for the "iPhone Nano". This description suggests that long running rumors of a miniaturized iPhone could be true.

XSKN gained some notoriety earlier this year when it began selling cases for the then-unreleased iPhone 3G. The company again received headlines in September with case images of unreleased 4th Generation iPod Nano designs. Both times, some readers had questioned if these were simply publicity stunts, though both sets of images later turned out to be accurate.

This time, XSKN has not published images of the purported "iPhone Nano", but iDealsChina did so earlier this month. While we don't believe XSKN or any case manufacturers have official knowledge of Apple's future plans, there is enormous financial incentive for these companies to obtain early information about Apple's next product.

To add more uncertainty into the mix, we've heard that some of Apple's initial plans for Macworld may have been delayed. So, even if an iPhone Nano was originally in the works, we're not sure when we'd actually see one.

http://www.macrumors.com/2008/12/22/more-h...-manufacturers/

user posted image

For completeness sake, we should report that XSKN has now posted the entire series of iPhone Nano cases for sale. Again, we have our doubts about the release of an iPhone Nano, yet it's hard to deny that the two previous case designs that were posted on XSKN did accurately predict upcoming products.

As with previous product shots, the actual iPhone graphics shown within the case are simply existing iPhone promotional shots and do not necessarily represent what the iPhone Nano interface would look like.

i dun mind if the screen size is shrunk by 1" .... around 2.5" still a good size for a phone.... in fact i think this size would even better fit for most ppl pocket tongue.gif

well the bad thing is tat if the screen is smaller mean the battery is smaller too... might get lesser power for it... Apple might have to get a higher capacity + smaller size battery for it

looking forward for Macworld biggrin.gif

If it really is true, I suspect this would go on well with consumers. It finally fits in our hands completely, although this is done by reducing the screen size as well. It looks fatter too

Wifi is part of Apple soul... every Apple gadget has Wifi built it except iPod (not touch) coz no meaning to have wifi on iPod

If no Wifi = using HSDPA? hmm then it will cost a boom or maybe GPRS

Cheaper price?...errm i think fairly cheaper by 20% since is still Apple product and it carry the name of "iPhone" Nano biggrin.gif

Basically ..Iphone 1 and 2nd generation still okie or i will say suitable for guys like us...by having a large rectangular phone in the pocket tongue.gif whenever i go anywhere my colleagues will notice the square pattern from my pockets haha ...thats huge and heavy haha

Nevertheless, the Nano will be more suitable for females/OL for work...scrolling page by page just to find an App tongue.gif

if the price is justified with good feedbacks then i might consider getting it as well biggrin.gif

Unless the screen resolution on that tinnier Nano is the same as the current iPhone, most if not all the apps available now, will not be able to run on it. iPhone SDK only allows apps development in that singular iPhone resolution only.

If the apps are not compatible, then this may just be a barebone iPhone with nothing but simple telephony functions only.

You can buy clones iPhones Nano in Thailand.

The devices, spotted here by an AppleInsider reader in Thailand, are almost always designed to mimic Apple's products as closely as possible and share not only the basic design but the branding as well, in some cases directly copying the logo and the "iPhone" labeling on the back.

Their software is also at times familiar and carries a similar layout, down to icons ripped directly from Apple's interface.

Aside from obvious color changes such as splashes of gold or pink, these clones are (when switched off) close enough to the original that they may pass for an iPhone nano to the untrained eye. As such, readers should be on the lookout for such claims in the run-up to January's Macworld Expo.

it isn't relevant for them to do iPhone nano . i think stev isn't interested in doing one too .

iphone is good becasue of it's large screen which dominates the screen which provide good touching surface area and keyboard , turning it smaller doesn't sounds right.

To be honest, I HIGHLY doubt the rumours are true.

I don't think Apple will cut cost buy cutting off 1 of iPhones best feature which is the WiFi. How are they gonna compete with other PDA phones without WiFi?

And come to think about it, do you think Apple has such thing as cutting cost? If they do, Mac products wouldnt be at this price. laugh.gif

The only reason why I can think they wanna remove WiFi is coz of Installer/Cydia. rolleyes.gif

OR...

If the iPhone Nano rumour is true, it's probabbly another range of iPhone like how they categorize iPod video, iPod Nano, iPod Touch and so. iPhone Nano will be the lower range compare to the normal iPhones.

Iphone nano without wifi??it might be true because this iphone will probably compete with the normal phoes market eg:nokia, sony erikkson etc..

plus the fact it is cheaper will tempt people to buy this phone because of the touch feature and the fun of having it...

lately, apple's strategy has changed to targeting to the large masses of people instead of unique and distinct group of people... cool.gif
