Can I ask your guys opinion?what type of shoes is good to wear with jeans shorts (slighty upper knee)?i wore boat shoes but it looks bad bcos the socks is visible.i dont like wearing shoes without socks..so any suggestion?thanks..

boat shoes are mean to wear sockless...you should wear those ultra short invisible socks

mradult is right, get invisible socks but they have the downside of being uncomfortable
i would personally wear longwings. i wear with with swim shorts

I haven't contributed much to this thread, I suppose it's hard to get a pic of myself without a mirror, and the only one big enough is in my room, where I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing shoes.

Its not about expensive brands, its how you wear them. Im pretty sure if CHiNO730 were up for it, he can make pasar malam clothes look very stylish and expensive. (no offence to pasar malam clothes yeah. I myself buy them; Im a thrift hunter you see)

Thanks - I agree, it has nothing to do with the brand. I grew up in a poor family, but had a lot of wealthy friends around me - so naturally as I have become successful, I gravitate towards the brands I was never able to own.
I've posted pics of jackets that I bought in Taiwan for about 40 USD equivalent that I wear with more expensive clothes.

No matter where you go, what you do, someone will have more money - so it's no use to try and compete. The goal is to share your style and experience. Perhaps not all of us have the means to afford expensive stuff, so sometimes it's good to see what the sifu's are wearing. For me, it's something to aspire to.

I few years ago I met with two very wealthy and young businessmen in Penang. You may be familiar with them, their family's name appears on every Honda motorcycle sold in Malaysia.
We got into the conversation of cars. I had pulled up in the Audi TT S you see in my signature. I explained how it was imported from Japan and was the first one brought into Malaysia at the time through AFCAR - he pointed just outside to a red Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorana - he had paid over RM 2.2 million for it and it too was one of the first to be brought into M'sia.

So no matter where you go, someone will one-up you. Best to be content with what you have and enjoy and share.
