Nice Ksubis. I'm not sure if that's a red selvedge strip I see. Was it before the China company took over, purely Aussie designers?

Yeah, TGIF huh biggrin.gif Even though I'm not working yet, but I feel happy cause some of my mates are working and weekdays nights are such a bore without them.

Raf Simons for Fred Perry
$20 calf leather belt
Imperial Dukes
UGGs for walking around the house coz my feet freezes all the time

Belt was kind of "bespoked" for me, by some guy who brought in a variety of tanned leather into uni grounds. He told me his stall was a regular set up every Sunday at one of the weekend flea markets in the different suburbs. I've been to these flea markets... plenty of treasure around, for a good price, if you know what you're looking for. It is not the grade of leather used by Dunhill or Ferragamo, and definitely has not been through any processes.. it is just rough raw dry calf hide which is well worth my $20. 5 minutes before my class, he threw in the extra bit he cut off and made a leather wrist band for me. Not very rocker coz its tan - I would've preferred black. But can't complain coz its free.

Thanks buddy =) I've been hunting for it for the longest time... Managed to get it from a ST forumer who was selling for close to retail (plus shipping) coz it wasn't his size. I have seen the shirt in a select store in Taipei for like RM500 and I was not having any of that nonsense! =D

Thanks for that mate, the Ksubi's don't have a selvedge strip and I actually got them 2 months ago on my holiday to Melbourne =) I really like the detailing on the Ksubi's, but other than that I couldn't tell you the first thing about them! I am trying to get more into denim now and the raw jeans thread here really helps alot! I really dig the vibe in Melboune, very relaxed and there are loads of great places to get stuff =)

Would it be too much trouble to have a closeup of your belt? The lengthy backstory got me really curious! I definitely will make a trip back to Melbourne in the near future and this time, I want to get around to everything that I missed!

EDIT: Just realised that the line of jeans is Ksubi Dee Dee Raw Rinse Indigo. Any care tips for me Grimm?

Nice fit you got going on there... Love how the belt looks! The detailing and buckle do it for me! I've always liked the Royal blue Nike uses on their kicks, looking for a black/blue dunk for a custom I have planned =)

You got any denim recommendations for someone who can't spring for Dior? =)

Nudie thin finns are kind of a similar fit.

Another recommendation would be APCs. Hop by over the denim thread and read a bit... somewhere there, I think I mentioned why APCs are one of the most sought after raws due to certain characteristics

Was seated next to a Bangladeshi-looking guy and saw his baller watch. He is a customer, and I spent the morning with all kinds of customer reps from Fortune 500 companies and they were all badly groomed, badly dressed, awkward young guys who cannot hold business conversations.

kotmj: So where are you from?

customer: a third world country not far from here

"Mahai," I was thinking to myself, "another exec from a microcompany based in the provincial backwaters of a third world country wearing a RM40k watch. Maybe I should dip into my sacred savings after all and give a boost to the Swiss economy."

kotmj: What do you do in your company?

customer: I'm the owner.
