now c902 come independent.. haha..
well just wanna ask.. im getting this hp soon if God will..
but which is better k850 (rm800-with 512mb) or c902 (rm880-without m2)..
i really dunno about se hp.. so i hope u guy would help me.. thx
*
Kinda boils down to what feature you are looking for as both these phones have pros and cons

Basic things to note:

k850 has Xenon whereas c902 is LED

k850 has a bigger screen compare to c902

k850 is almost double the size to c902

k850 has a funky keypad whereas c902 has a "hard-to-press" keypad tongue.gif

c902 has a cool camera slider feature

QUOTE(-pWs- @ Dec 23 2008, 11:15 AM)
8GB M2 how much bro?
Is it recommended to put? Will it lag? smile.gif

-pWs-
*
If you want to go up to 8gb, would recommend you to get the Ultra version. I am using a 4gb version for mine and its a breeze... no lags wat so ever biggrin.gif

Got my Sandisk 4gb Ultra for RM108. Its definitely more pricey then the normal version but the performance is fantastic.

QUOTE(kamikraze @ Dec 23 2008, 12:36 PM)
yup i think so.. not deal yet le.. huhu.. oso play in mind to buy where..
im study at jb.. now at trg.. thinking about buying at lyn.. is that better i go looking hp at jb or lyn?
*
There are a number of trustable handphone sellers here in LYN (Renee, BDL, mike7, hairul, & a few more)

However please be careful when dealing online since you are located in JB then most likely they have to post the phone to you.

My suggestion would be to scout LYN prices and scout around JB for similar prices. If price range is around the same then just pickup the one from JB. Also since you are getting AP pls do your research on which AP company to get warranty from.

i need ur advise here.. between c902 and g900.. is it the camera for both produce the same qualities? which is worth more?
*
That was my dilemma as well. End of the day you gotta ask yourself what you want out of your phone? Both these phone have good pros and cons.

For me I found that the c902 was more cool in design (and the Titanium Silver version made it stand out more tongue.gif) I compare the sample shots from both threads and concluded that c902 shots were better/sharper. G900 has the edge with a bigger screen and its even touch screen! But I decided to go old school and stick to the usual SE interface that I am used to and play with the awesome slider design as I want something which I can snap on the go.

Maybe the rest can also share why they chose to upgrade to c902?

Oh and before I forget, a Merry Christmas to all! rclxms.gif

PS: Almost forgot G900 has wifi capabilities as well.

It has to be C902 man! It is so cool..it definitely look cool on anyone..its slim, solid & its so cool when u take pix in the dark wif the all blue glowing button on the screen and the blue line on near the lens. Well, if u want touch screen then u better get Iphones & etc..for me..I carry a blackberry & C902..emails wif BB & shots wif C902!!!

It all depends on ur requirements. Do u need the wi-fi? Do u want the touch screen? Do u mind a not so slim design? Just my 2 cents!

Cheers all  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Your points are all correct except the "not so slim design" part as both g900 and c902 share similar dimensions. Main diff is g900 is 2.5mm thicker tongue.gif

hi guys...would like to ask...can the c902 photo light work as something like torch light ? can i turn it on during the dark ? or can only use when take photo ?

if i wanna update the firmware myself...is there anything i need to know b4 i do it ? thx in advance smile.gif
*
A fixed light can be activated by switching to Video Mode.

Before updating your FW please make sure to backup everything you can via PC Suite/MyPhoneExplorer

QUOTE(LittleCow @ Dec 25 2008, 05:54 PM)
I am quite disapointed with my C902 (AP set)'s brightness.... the screen is very dim,
and difficult to see the callers name, message name...etc...viewing photo also very dim...
and also found that the photo taken using camera also very dim !
*
Have you compared it with an other c902? Maybe it could be a LCD problem?

Tried complaining to where you purchased your phone?

QUOTE(evilhomura89 @ Dec 25 2008, 09:35 PM)
at 1st, i was quite attracted by c902 and planning to swap my current w810i for it...
but after seeing these picts, i think i'll stay away from c902...the lack of xenon is no-no...
*
I upgraded from w810i to c902 and I am very very happy with my upgrade. IMO no matter how good the camera if the user does not use the correct settings the picture won't appear nice. Not necessarily must always depend only on "Auto" settings.

I have to admit the lack of Xenon makes night portrait shots looks bare but I am the type of person that prefers not to use flash but natural lighting so maybe that is why I am happy with my non-Xenon c902 smile.gif

hello all, will u guys' C902 when typing msg, the screen brightness will decrease till very dim then it will gradually get bright again all by it ownself... and this repeats... do u all hv this problem?
*
That happens when T9 dictionary is activated. Background becomes dim to display the list of key words. Its irritating to speed typers but eventually will get used to it.

Almost all phones uses digital zoom. One of the reasons why I dont bother using zoom. Just take the pic then later zoom when viewing the picture; same effect.

I dont mean all phones does not have optical zoom.

I meant majority of phones uses digital zoom. Samsung has a few models with optical zoom.

And also what software are you referring to?

I am still not sure what kind off software you are looking for but it has a Media shortcut which brings you to a "PSP" view of your Photos, Music, Videos, etc...

QUOTE(swc881 @ Dec 29 2008, 04:11 PM)
hey guys, i having a indecisive to make a choice whether go for the 4gb or 8gb m2 memory card for my c902. And, what so unique about the 'ultra' edition? Can someone clarify for me? hmm.gif
*
The 4gb or 8gb choice is basically up to you on how much media you want to put in biggrin.gif For me I purchased the 4gb card because price of memory cards drops everyday so no point investing in so big if I don't utilize the space. Doubt you wanna play movies in such a small screen too tongue.gif

As for Ultra Edition it has a much greater read/write speed compared to the Normal ones.

Faster write speed = load/save pictures/videos into the M2 card faster

hi guys i bought this phone in oct.

can anyone teach me how to update the firmware? it requires internet settings and i don't know how to set it up on my phone... i tried dling via the internet to transfer to the phone but i can't get past the first 2 steps sweat.gif

also my phone hangs / lags at certain times especially when the update reminder appears. and when i take too many photos, the temperature of the phone increases. do these happen to you?

thx in advance smile.gif
*
I think it will be better if you update your phone via SEUS/PC Suite. Downloading it directly to your phone will be very expensive. Can you explain further on which step you are stuck at?

As for your hangs and temp increase, nope never faced that problem before. What is your current firmware version?

Welcome to the world of c902! Just added you on the list.

As for the battery I would say give it a week, on personal experience my battery was pretty weak in the beginning but now it can last up to 3 days on normal usage.

Also wat firmware are you on? a forumer mentioned older firmware makans battery fast.

ur phone might be slow to open files when use 4gb... of coz there lotz of file to open rite.. but dun sure the ultra m2 speed... any people use it ..
any comment...

Refer to the Userlist on post #4 @ page 1

Currently only 2 users are using Ultra M2 and that is me and cwk88.

I cant do a comparison as I do not have a normal M2 card to test but on a personal experience I have not faced any lags loading/saving pictures/music/videos

However I too feel that its not necessary to get the Ultra version for 2gb.
