im a new member here guys but kinda old user for the C902 for real speaking the phone is incredible but since the last update i did on friday at night i updated to the version R3EG004 and i wish havent coz since then the phone is restarting very often by itself its so annoying especially when i put an alarm to wake up and when the alarm wants to trigger it restarts without making a sound so i keep on sleeping lol so i need some help before i put some C4 and blow up my phone

lol if that happens on the latest update of FW den theres pretty much nothing u can do about it. maybe can send to shop

yeah nothin to do even i tried to downgrade the FW with XS++ but didnt know how to download or from where to get the FW old versions so i sent it today to maintinance

All you need to do is reset your phone and it will revert back to the FW you first got. However do backup everything as the reset wipes everything off.

There's probably nothing wrong with the latest fw, just some files got corrupted during the download/update. Reflash the fw on a different computer or if u know where the SEUS update files are on your computer then delete them all before reflashing it again. This will definitely solve your problem if you have a good and stable internet connection

i had reset it many times but the fw is the same the new one.......the software wont revert to old fw versions they are only upgraded

My C902 hp's keypad isn't functioning properly lately, it shows no response when i press them!!
Thinking that it could be the keypad's problem, anyone of you have encountered this problem with C902?
Kindly pls advice the market price to replace a new keypad...
Hv done surveys & was told the price is around RM110-RM150.

im having this problem too, sometimes....depends on the mood of the phone, and currently im using version R3EA037. i know this is not the latest firmware rite, as im totally noob about this firmware thingy. and to put salt on my wound, my keypad number '2' '3' 'arrow down' and the 'on/off' button sometimes not responding. currently doing googling on how to update the firmware, or any gurus out there can point a step by step walkthrough, and is updating the firmware really gonna solve the problem? anybody?

How do u check the current version of ur hp?!
Facing many problems with this C902 as discussed by other forumers earlier:
- Reboot on its own
- Alarm sometimes doesn't work (so must set 2 alarms to avoid the 1st one doesnt work!)
- Video playback error
- now keypad problem...

In fact, it just happened few days back when I was searching for a name in the ctc list..
suddenly the 5 & 9 didnt work!
and after i switched off & on the hp, now only the MENU (middle) button doesnt work!!!
Pls help

first of all, keypad problem is hardware issue. nothing to do with FW.

to check current software version :
menu>settings>general>update service>software version

if u really feel its due to FW/SW prob, u can always update to the latest via SEUS good luck.

Do u hv any idea about the keypad price?
Would like to replace a new one but worry RM150 is too expensive...

not really sure. in mobile phone section got few forummers offering repair services. maybe u can PM them and ask for a quotation.

wow starry u caught the idea ur having the same problem of mine regarding the software abt the alarm thing but the thing is sometimes both alarms dont work............the bloddy new FW version is like crap its the problem when i did an upgrade to it the errors started........the keypad is still working thank god i think ur problem is that ur phone,maybe,have fallen on the ground or took a big shock other than that maybe sweat from fingers is blocking the pad give it some time to dry out

Added on December 3, 2009, 3:42 amin ur state pal u need to enter the official site for sony ericsson and enter the support tab then enter the kinda phone(which is C902)and download the sonyericsson updating software then install it then update the Firmware......the newest version is the R3EG004 which i dont recommend to upgrade coz it has many problems.......do what u want and tell me what will happen with u
