Then what is the difference between Terre d Hermes and Eau d Orange Verte.

TdH is the revised version of EdOV in terms of longevity? Both were orange haha
*
hey stuffi,

if you prefer a heavier side of orangy scent, Eau d Orange is the way to go on top,
Terre opens on more sensual, musky however on the bottom, you get an orangy smell to it

i think unforgivable smells nice, however the longevity is a big issue, it comes and go so fast that you think what hit you moments ago??

Last time i used to buy many original rejected perfumes but found it were all fake. Its were grade AAA perfume from Dubai!!. The bottle and the smell are 100% same as the original but smell cannot last longer.  mad.gif

For me, i only believe the authentic perfume MUST come with the box because the original box (bottom of the box) have SAME serial number with under the perfume bottle. Most original rejected aka grade AAA perfume come with pouch only!!

Right now, most of my perfumes i bought from US or duty free airport. And they all got the original box (with serial number matching to the bottle).  biggrin.gif
Please refer this link if you want to know what i mean.

er dude,
grade "A" perfume comes with boxes too, they have the whole deal as real as it can be,

the only tell-tale sign would be the scent of it and basenotes has more alcohol in it,
boxes, serial number, packing etc... can be faked! dont read the internet too much, trust your own nose please. and normally grade "a" fakes smells exactly like the real one because they are the real one, just that they are diluted..
just goto petaling st and open your eyes ... hehe

hello guys, how are you....
there was some post about the new dior homme refomulation on other fragrance forums...
in bhg bugis there was a dior addict roadshow and i manage to test the new bottle design of dior homme... and find that its missing the lipstick/irisy notes... i guess it is pretty obvious there... so for those who doesnt like the irisy notes, can actually get the new bottle version, for those who like the irisy notes...hehe stock in the old version...!!!

Depends on what you consider a collection...

My active collection:

  • Acqua di Parma Colonia
  • Dior Homme
  • Clean Men
  • Hanae Mori HM
  • Clinique Happy for Men

I find Hanae Mori too sweet for me sometimes, but it pairs well with the Dior Homme. Clinique Happy is good for hot, muggy days or when I expect to be sweaty, because it smells fresh, the scent is longer-lasting from my experience, and it's cheaper than my other ones. I love the Acqua di Parma Colonia and Clean Men! Unfortunately, Clean Men is a light fragrance.

I've also got CK One, CK Be, Alfred Sung Hei, and some JPG summer edition. They are older and I don't use them as often these days.

The next one I am planning on getting is a Hermes one! Except I'm broke at the moment, so it'll have to wait... Any Hermes users here? Which one do you like best?
*
Hermessence or normal designer?

maybe you can try Orange de verte concentree..

My current liking is orange de verte and hermes p.h

Alright but all these while I thought Tangs is the best choice haha !
*
Tangs would be a good choice if you are looking into slightly niche like cdg,l'artisan,creed,annick...

normal designers, parkson and all are good enough...

btw

just went to tangs orchard,

tested surge lutens - chergui, annick - apom....

jonny,
i went to nearby area, got ysl m7 for a really good deal.. last pcs there..
and they have dunhill edition 5ml vials, got them also...smells exactly like yours

Tangs got some niche brands dats all. They got discount section too but limited stuff. Oh ya i remember now...Tangs do give discount for some older gift sets. U shud go check it out if u interested in gift sets.

Added on April 16, 2011, 9:42 pm
I've not encountered any kind of prejudice in Tangs or any other dept store perfume counter....only encountered rudeness n bad customer service.

M7 is really worth getting since its in limited supply nowadays. some even say it's gonna be discontinued soon. reformulated version ?

hoho means my Edition is ori punya la.
*
dont think its reformulated, as the packing is not really new...

Where is the discount section located?  Yeap I getting gift sets next.  tongue.gif
*
lol..i dont feel sorry for myself as i am not pointing a gun to the sa to ask her for a decant..
like i say, some sa will be more than happy to help you decant, you build your repo, they built theirs also..
so far i only met one SA who build a repo with me, she offered to give me free decants from mini empty vials and ask me to go test it and just buy when i feel...she even went to other company's counter and help me decant ...
malaysia style, help me to help you.. =P

Another option is you sign up and become a perfume SA and bring home tons of testers.
No one would notice though.  drool.gif  drool.gif  drool.gif

QUOTE(Space @ Apr 19 2011, 08:15 AM)
Thanks jonny, next month I'll go check them out, I went pefume hunting last saturday at The Garden Robinson and Isetan and found the discount counter you said, there's no much choice left now, from what I can remember, kenzo pour homme, kenzo amour florale, a scent by Issey Miyake, juicy couture, vera wang bouquet, cartier baiser du dragon, a lot of nafnaf, lalique and Salvador Dali, for those who're interested. Over all quite pleasure experience except at Guerlain, which I get the clear signal from the SA's face tell me to f**k of, when I said I want to check out  some frags, but I did help myself for mitsouko. I bought Estee Lauder's brasil dream on this trip and next time I'll probably buy Prada Infusion d'iris. I always tried one male scent on skin when I go perfume shopping, so I always get the same look from the SA which says that I'm a idiot. This time i tried Estee Lauder Intuition for men, which I know a lot of girl wears. Maybe a lot of women buy it? The SA didn't even bat his lashes and really recommend me buying it biggrin.gif It started very fresh with cucumber which i personally cannot stand (I hate cucumber) and unfortunately (for me!) lasted very long until it slowly turn into something inviting, warm and spicy, the projection's very low, it kinda hang around you like a warm aura, for me it's a lot like a lover's embrace, warm, inviting, protective and comforting, so it explains why so many women love it, and I think it's a very good daily scent, lasted very long. Check it out next time you go shopping, I think Estee Lauder perfume definitely go under radar for most of you guys cuz I never heard you guys talk about it, it's not the kind of perfume that makes you feel you can conquer the world but it'll be perfect for a cuddle. Next time I should also try beyond paradise for man.
*
yeah beyond paradise is good if you like sweet sweet tonkaish smell =P
used to own it..
