any comment regarding burberry the brit n ck eternity?
*
Taken from my earlier post about Eternity,
"I got a bottle of Eternity. One of the better perfumes released by CK. Eternity has very good sillage and longevity. It's more of a fresh scent that is perfect for the office and casual occasions. The only problem with Eternity is the fact that many guys own a bottle. Eternity is one of the perfumes I smell quite often when I go to malls around Kl/PJ or even clubbing. I say no harm in getting a bottle but don't expect to stand out with Eternity".

Are u referring to Burberry The Beat for men or Burberry Brit for men ?

I like the smell of Prada Infusion d'homme, Clinique Happy for Men, Solo Loewe and YSL Live Jazz in the mornings.

Brit is quite good. It has a nice creamy vanilla-ish vibe to it. It is also rather powdery in the drydown. Quite unique smelling as a good effort by Burberry to be honest because at least they didn't release something generic smelling. However Brit suffers from a lack of sillage and longevity, well on me at least.

I think we can group evening and night frags in the same category.

Some suggestions for evening frags (in no particular order):

- Thierry Mugler A*Men (my new found love LOL)
- YSL M7
- Dior Homme
- JPG Le Male
- YSL Rive Gauche
- Versace The Dreamer
- Must de Cartier Essence

Basically most sweet, heavy and spicy oriental fragrances would suit evenings better. You can wear those frags i listed in the day (well i do) just make sure you don't sweat too much because they can get cloying fast. There are exceptions of course.

I prefer the smallest size available usually either 30ml or 50ml. Saves space as I am running out of storage space already LOL.

Nope.

But they had a huge promo for Playboy fragrances recently.

Added on December 18, 2009, 12:33 pmI have this long standing impression that the majority of Malaysian men only like wearing fresh/aquatic smelling fragrances, e.g Aqua Di Gio, Cool Water, most CKs, most Hugo Boss colognes and most recently Versace Man Eau Fraiche.

So does anyone prefer colognes that smell a little different. something along the lines of YSL Kouros, Thierry Mugler A*Men and Kenzo Power.

Please state down your favourite different from ordinary colognes smile.gif

Hmm i've tried playboy fragrance at guardian/ watson before.
The smell is just ok, but it's definitely not my type. It's too normal and nothing special about it.
But yeah, the price is really cheap as Guardian/Watson selling around RM30 - RM40.
It's quite awful actually having playboy fragrance on our body. tongue.gif

Looks like I'm not alone LOL. So do u get good dreams after spraying on The Dreamer ? LOL

I too sometimes spray a fragrance on before going to bed. Helps me sleep better and its a good test of a cologne's longevity.

Haha, yeap got pretty sweet dreams after having the scent along with me to sleep. tongue.gif
And btw, I'm not sure if i'm dreaming or what. The dreamer seems to last on me more than 12 hours. But when it dries down it's a very close to the skin type of perfumes. sad.gif

It's the same on me too. It has good progression and I think it's a good thing that it doesn't stay strong the whole time.

Gucci Envy vs. Gucci Pour Homme

Between this 2 very good frags my preference would be Gucci Pour Homme. Envy can sometimes get a bit irritating when worn on a hot day or when the mood is not right. GPH meanwhile starts off strongly but settles into a smooth, semi sweet vanilla-ish scent mixed with a lot of woodiness and incense. If u been to a Catholic church regularly, u will recognize GPH very well. However, both Envy and GPH don't really project well on me, meaning that u have to come close to get a whiff of either.

Burberry London vs. Burberry Brit

Between this two I will go with London. This is because London is a bit more unique and has this really nice port wine note. Brit can get a little powdery and I don't really like powdery scents much. Both are surprisingly rather light and lasts one me for around 6 hours, after that I would have to try very hard to be able to detect either on me. However, for the price I sometimes find the lack of longevity to be not so good value for money.
