hi jonny, would love to hear why it doesn't worth the price, heard good review of it but never smell it,
btw, can recommend some good place to try perfume?
next month free to hit perfume counter smile.gif

I find He Wood smelling too much of violet leaves and it aint too unique either to make me throw RM200+ away. It's not a bad perfume just that it didn't smell special enough to me. But if u really like it go get it because perfume taste is very individual.

Pavilion is a good place to try perfume as there are many shops like Parkson, Tangs, Just Perfume and SASA. Not to mention the high end boutiques like Hermes, Roberto Cavalli and Ferragamo do have perfumes to try and buy...some not even available at dept store counters. Any perfume available in msia should be available in Pavilion (not literally 100%). KLCC is also a good place to try but the parking is terrible and I still prefer Pavilion.

jonny, comments on comparisons among Dior Homme Sport ,Chanel Platinum Egoiste and YSL Live Jazz?

I actually thought of buying a pair of frags from Chanel but I do not know any good ones for Women.
*
DHS - Pretty average and smells prominently of ginger and sour citrus. Longevity and sillage quite average too. Reminds me somewhat of dishwashing liquid. Saving grace is that it is not aquatic at all even though it has "Sport" in its name.

PE - I find this really metallic smelling but fresh. It is quite similar to CK Eternity and Paco Rabanne XS. Among the three IMO the best is PE. Sillage and longevity is very good.

LJ - I rate this one as one of the best fresh smelling frags. The beauty of LJ is that even though it's fresh, it is not aquatic smelling. LJ is really minty actually with woody undertones.

My fav Chanel male frags are Egoiste (not Platinum), Antaeus and Pour Monsieur. Have u tried Allure Homme Edition Blanche ? Blanche is quite good and IMO the best in the Allure Homme range. Chanel are actually more famous for their women frags. The ones I find really good are Chance, No. 5 Eau Premier and Cristalle Eau Verte. The only prob is the women frags are really expensive...about RM100 more than the men frags.

I've got three sample vials from parkson.
So far i'm loving how JPG Le Male and Gucci PH 2 smells. smile.gif

Gucci PH 2 has a very manly smell to it. smile.gif hehehe, anyway johnny what do you think about gucci ph 2?
*
I love GPH II man haha. Manly in a modern sort of way. The bottle can be used as a weapon tongue.gif

I tried Dior Homme Sport today, other than the lemon and ginger smell, nothing really spectacular for me. The bottle is good looking nevertheless, yes i somewhat care of perfume bottling as well for collection purpose, I love the 212 magnetic bottle so much.

if PE is like CK eternity and Paco XS as you said, then it will appeal to alot people. I will goto try LJ later.

Nope i have not tried out any Chanel frags before, what type is Allure Homme Blanche actually. Thats bad news women Chanel costs alot more expensive, my gf is only into fresh/aquatic of type, preferably a good long lasting one
*
Blanche is a good mix of citrus and pepper. It's fresh without being aquatic.

hi everyone
juz 1 2 share that eternity aqua is available in pavilion tangs and parkson
it smells great and last so long
it is quite similar to acqua di gio in my opinion
but it is better lasting and sillage is not bad

the greatest news was the limited edition A*MEN sunessence also available in parkson
i found that it was wearable if compared to the origianal version
hope i got the cash to grab it soon
*
Oh come on ! A*Men is not that bad LOL.

Anyways thanks for the info...i will be looking forward to test both.

Any idea on the prices sizes of both ?

Anybody is using the new HUGO Elements?
I plan to grab a bottle for myself... smile.gif
Wonder will the smell stay strong even after several hours?
Cheers icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Save your money and get something more unique and long lasting. Even CK One and Cool Water smells better than Elements IMO.

Stay away from hugo perfumes, only XY, #6 and Army Smells ok for Hugo.

100% agreed man. No. 6 is quite good and has decent longevity. XY is really refreshing.

Anyone use Emporio Armani Diamonds for Men??? How do guys like it?

I got a bottle of Diamonds and I liked it initially but after a while the sweetness got a bit nauseating. IMO it's a decent frag that not really groundbreaking.

CAn you show me the link..i can't find that you discussed about it bfore.

Nvm.

He Wood I wanted to try for a long time but when I got to try it at SASA it was a letdown. I found it to be woody but in this boring fresh aquatic sort of way. It also has this violet note I dun really like. He Wood is decent la but not worth the price.

The new D&G frags are called the Anthology series or something lidat. I have tried 4 or 5 edi and found them to be really average la. One or two reminded me of the cheap deo/colognes u can buy fr pharmacies. Again not worth the price.

Anyway jonny4, i've noticed u mentioned ysl live jazz few times in these thread. One of my fav for hot weekend, when most of my fren used davidorf cool water ysl live jazz wud stand out as none of my frens ever used it b4. I always use it when im going to a lounge for live music, at least IMO that is how i relate live jazz with biggrin.gif
Regarding chanel allure homme sport, i've jst acquire it few days ago and while the smell is pleasant i hv issue with longevity and sillage. Wether i spray it on my shirt, or wrist, chest and even neck after 4 hours its almost gone. Whats left was a subtle smell which i hv to really put my nose into to notice it. So far very dissapointing sad.gif . I plan to try chanel allure next, one of my lady fren said its the smell of a very handsome man well at least in her opinion hehehehe (take notice guys)
I had kenneth cole new york last time, and for me its smell nice, quite long lasting and 3 sprays is enough or ur nose will suffer cool2.gif Not many of u mentioned KC frags here but anyone tried KC black? From internet reviews, i have a feeling it would be a nice frag to have...
1 more perfume, blue seduction by antonio banderas... its a bit different kind of fresh smell and once the basenote appear, a girl who sat next to me once subconsciously utter the word 'WOW' when she picked up the lingering smell from my body. So the longevity and sillage is quite good i must say
*
The AHS u bought is it definitely ori ? I have tried it many times and AHS is one of the longer lasting fresh aquatic frags I know of. AHS is quite famous and not new so there will be fakes.

I have tried 3 or 4 Kenneth Cole frags before and none made an impression. Reaction was the worse in terms of longevity but it smell rather nice in a fresh fruity way. Black was good but only for 30mins or so...after that it just fizzled out like so many other designer frags. Some time last year Black was on sale in Tangs...50ml was goin for RM100...but I decided against buying it at the last minute. There is nothing black about Kenneth Cole Black LOL. It's more fruity than black really.

My fav is still Armani Code smile.gif

Doesn't last long, smells like every other men's cologne out there. The point of wearing a fragrance is to stand out and attract attention. Something better would be Davidoff Silver Shadow Altitude and YSL Live Jazz. Bulgari Aqua would be good too if u like something aquatic with a twist.

I probably only tried Slate once so I cant really comment on it. But one thing for sure is that Chrome will definitely last longer .

whats a better perfume then this ?
or is it the perfume that i got is a fake/ rejeced perfume ?

Bulgari Pour Homme is like that so. That's why they made Bulgari Pour Homme Extreme. It's quite good and stays fresh for some time.

It's really hard to recommend u a frag and even harder a brand of perfume. It's not like shoes or jeans u know. U just got to test and test till u find something u like...test on skin mind u.

what are some good fresh frag that could last around 10-12hrs,
my job is entering to peak season, so i always stay around that long in office.
my current collection doesnt last me that long

no need to be aquatic as i know aquatic doesnt last long.
*
Azzaro Chrome would be perfect for u. Chrome is one fresh aquatic that lasts a whole day. But I can't guarantee 100% la because each person's body is diff. But so far the general consensus is that Chrome is very long lasting. Sillage is very good too.
