I am not sure whether the discount places like Just Parfum have it. I remember only seeing PS Story in department stores. You can also try online and on LYN.Perfumes for Guys V1

QUOTE(attacusatlas @ Apr 27 2010, 12:14 PM) i know both suck but like you, i have someone putting a double-barrel on my head, threatening to blow out every single piece of my brain if I don't choose between these two. Haha...good luck.anyway, thanks for your input, though i know it is not easy. oh, they are free. so i might use it as home fragrance. This post has been edited by jonny4: Apr 27 2010, 01:45 PM |

Space, LOL that's a really long post but what's the reason u summarize all 62 pages of this thread into one post ? Doesn't really sound like random thoughts to me. But thanks for the feedback for the benefit of other members that are too lazy to go through the thread.
Anyways I don't think it is possible to get Thierry Mugler Cologne here anymore. But if u r lucky u might still get to test it at Parkson KLCC counter. If it's no longer there just try Creed Orirginal Vetiver, Mugler Cologne is very similar just much lighter. |

QUOTE(Space @ May 5 2010, 11:54 AM) Haha, thanks Jonny, i don't know that I sum up the whole thread coz I only read the first half of them, PS Story, Mugler Cologne, Creed Original Vetiver, Lalique Encre Noire and to a certain extent Guerlain Vetiver all have some similarities because they all are vetiver dominant frags. IMHO Story doesn't smell that similar to Mugler Cologne and I do prefer Cologne over Story due to the freshness and versatility. Guerlain Vetiver is very different to both Story and Cologne even though all are vetiver dominant. GV can be considered a more classic smelling vetiver frag with a strong tobacco note. I would say GV is more of an acquired taste while Story and Cologne will appeal to more ppl. Encre Noire is very bitter and not many will find it appealing. it's just my little thought on perfume hunting, anyway it's for greater good I heard that Paul Smith Story very similar to Mugler Cologne, so does it similar to Guerlain Vetiver? Do you happen to know how much is Guerlain Vetiver? I bought my 75ml Guerlain Vetiver EDT for around RM200 or less in early 2008 so I can't really remember properly. The best place to test/buy Guerlain frags would be at the Parkson KLCC counter. |

QUOTE(sakon7 @ May 7 2010, 10:04 AM) You probably tried the wrong one dude. A*Men is never be described as a citrus happy fragrance LOL. It's a gourmand and meant to smell like chocolate. it's very sweet too. Maybe u tried Ice Men instead ? What colour was the bottle ? A*Men is either in a black rubber flask or silver metal flask...both with a blue star in the middle.Added on May 7, 2010, 11:41 am QUOTE(sickboy @ May 7 2010, 09:00 AM) where can i try on Ice*Men Thierry Mugler and 212 Men On Ice Ice Men u can try at almost all Thierry Mugler counters (Parkson 1U, MJ Midvalley, Parkson KLCC...there r many TM counters around). Caroline Herrera counters are even more common. All u need to do is to step into any department store in KL/PJ and u will definitely find a Caroline Herrera counter and maybe a a Thierry Mugler counter.looking for 2nd aquatic frag right now btw really like the Bvlgari Aqva but i'm getting it another for switches of use This post has been edited by jonny4: May 7 2010, 11:41 AM |

QUOTE(sickboy @ May 8 2010, 08:51 AM) thanks jonny, btw how good are this two as compare to Aqva, or you have other recommend for aquatic fragrances. Bulgari Aqua is still on the top of my list when it comes to aquatics. But the other 2 are not bad either. Other good aquatics I have tried and owned are Davidoff Silver Shadow Altitude, Versace Pour Homme, Chanel Allure Homme Sport, Chanel Platinum Egoiste and Azzaro Chrome. Not all are aquatics I must stress but all are fresh and last better than average. |

QUOTE(sakon7 @ May 8 2010, 11:29 AM) Some testers are in metal flask and some in rubber. They are still selling the EDT in metal flask but only comes in 100ml and the price is around RM350-RM400 iirc. It's possible u tried some other A*Men flanker, like Ice Men (transparent greenish blue bottle) or Pure Malt (dark brown rubber flask)...the original A*Men comes in a black rubber flask. |

QUOTE(KeithCheeFB @ May 10 2010, 02:55 AM) hi guys, recently i looked through issey miyake pour homme wood edition. i kinda like the smell where its quite fresh but its soo hard to choose between it and bvlgari aqua... can giv any suggestions? I have never been a fan of Issey Miyaki Pour Homme and its flankers so if u ask me I'll definitely go with Bulgari Aqua hehe.Added on May 10, 2010, 8:19 am QUOTE(sickboy @ May 10 2010, 03:00 AM) hey jonny u wanna comment some on Carolina Herrera 212 Men for office use and its comparison as to other fresh type fragrance like Issey Miyake. 212 is very fresh and crisp and even more so than issey miyake (which I don't really like). 212 is quite strong and long lasting for a fresh scent. I usually wear it to the office and it works very well.Gonna dig Aqva for long as my aquatic favor, so now looking for something else, but still do not want strong or too masculine type of smell, dare not to seduce my boss This post has been edited by jonny4: May 10 2010, 08:19 AM |

QUOTE(sickboy @ May 10 2010, 08:52 AM) It's not too expensive...I bought my 50ml for around RM150-160...it was part of a gift set that came with 50ml EDT and 100ml matching shower gel. Keep a look out for the gift sets as 212 does come in really value for money gift sets...father's day next month so there will be tons of gift sets available fr every brand. |

QUOTE(deja-vu @ May 11 2010, 10:16 AM) Yup that's right. light and temperature fluctuations are the main enemies of perfume. I store them in the original boxes in a cool dark drawer. I don't bother having them on display. This post has been edited by jonny4: May 11 2010, 10:35 AM |

QUOTE(sickboy @ May 11 2010, 06:19 PM) any of you ever tried this brand Lanvin? was trying on some until a SA at Parkson 1U came over and keep psycho of Lanvin L'homme Sport . Let me guess...the malay guy with the ponytail ? LOL. Lanvin Sport is alright but a bit short lasting and light..not worth the RM200+ price tag. My fav fr Lanvin is Arpege Pour Homme. QUOTE(sickboy @ May 12 2010, 06:54 PM) didnt remember he has a ponytail but he's quite a talking malay. LOL yeah 212 does have that foody/oily smell initially but after a while it settles nicely. Lanvin Sport is indeed short lasting and the smell is nothing really special for me I even prefer Azzaro Chrome from testing picked up 212 Men and start using it today. feel but im really liking it alot, next trying target would be Gucci Pour Homme II GPH II is one of my fav light scents. Lasts quite a good while but don't expect the person next to u to be able to smell it haha. |

QUOTE(antaeusguy @ May 14 2010, 08:32 AM) do you guys think dolce & gabbana The One is more for office / evening wear? IMO u can use The One for both office/evening as long as u don't overspray. It may smell strong at first but trust me, after an hour u might even forget u have it on. I was rather disappointed when I bought because the first hour of The One was great, the next 5-6 hours was uninspiring.I'm planning to get one but still uncertain.. the smell is nice, projection seems good, bottle looks elegant, but as I plan to use it in office, would the smell be too strong? |

QUOTE(sickboy @ May 15 2010, 09:24 AM) aww thats sad to hear that for my preference. I find Black XS to be rather long lasting and has decent sillage. But yeah, GPH II is much weaker sillage wise compared to Black XS...it's not that bad la but it's one of those clean smelling frags that doesn't project much. U could try spraying 10+ sprays haha.I tried Paco Rabanne Black XS, it also a close to skin type that does not project that much while stilll noticable and GPH II is probably even more close to skin than Black XS,right |
