Transformers 3 is Probably the End of the Road for Michael Bay

Maybe Sam Raimi should have taken this same route instead of waiting so long that he ended up getting the boot from the “Spider-Man” franchise when he came back for part four, despite the mega disappointment of part three. I’m talking about bailing on a franchise after three straight movies. According  to uber producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, he feels that for “Transformers” director Michael Bay and himself, the third part is most likely the last one, though of course the studio will keep on going. Blood from a stone and all that.

    "It may not be the end of the line of Transformers for Hasbro and Paramount, but I would think so. (For) Michael, I’m sure it is. He’s spent a lot of years working on one thing."

It certainly makes sense for Bay to leave the franchise after the third one. What else is there to do? The franchise itself probably won’t be able to go on for very long before it is “rebooted” in some fashion anyway. That’s the trendy thing to do now, isn’t it? Reboot it after the third one. Hey, worked for “Spider-Man”. (Maybe…)

Good! Bring in another director because I want someone else to tackle this franchise with a sensible story and good mash up. Not "show-me-american-powaaahhh" movie.

If you want something realistic, its simple really be friends with the government they'd lend you all the stuff you need planes,trucks,ships,UAVs,satellites and other things, its an american movie they dont have any choice then to turn to the government to borrow these things dont they? PR resulting from this movie for the american military is a win win situation, and again its fictional shouldn't make you feel insecure just because its american.

Put it this way.

All the Autobot cars are American.

All the Decepticon cars are European.

Not feeling anywhere insecure, it just boggles me in many ways that would be debatable.

With TF3, I did see a Ferrari. Now, which side do you think the Car is on?
