i did a marathon run of tf1 and tf2 prior to watching tf3 which is why i remember more of the movie facts. same thing i did with xmen first class (watched all 3 x-men and wolverine origins). to enjoy the movie better by understanding it more.

but i do dissect all movies i watch when i want to such as when i questioned certain elements in star trek or avatar.

unfortunately, this time it did not make me enjoy the tf3 movie. what a disappointment. bay couldve left with pride and left a better legacy, but unfortunately he took the criticisms of tf2 personally and showed us 2 middle fingers in the 3rd.

What a total waste of time and cash. Absolutely garbage movie with all style and no substance.

- Horrid acting
- Lame plot / No substantial plot at all
- Absolutely zero chemistry between the characters
- Felt like it was 10 hours long

they should just reboot the transformers real life action movies. no more shia please. megan fox i dont mind and am more open to her being in a reboot. but please lets focus on robots more and less on usa army might is right

Feel the same - rosie the giant lips is a bit out of place - megan fox brought something of an attitude to TF1 and TF2 - made them more bearable despite what people may be saying about her Acting (for Acting you go and watch meryl streep in 'Doubt' or liv ullman in an ingmar bergman film lar, geez lol).

from michael bay, yes it is the final chapter of his run on transformers. sadly, as it should be.

however, i dont hate him personally and cannot discredit his action scenes. if he were to return, it should only be as co-director and only on action scenes. if his ego can take it.

i was perplexed too. as if the entire decepticons armada had a link knowing instantly when megatron and sentinel prime died and the battle suddenly stopped everywhere else. my guess is movie runtime was at maxed and needed to finish with a climax so certain concessions were made. we are to assume the battle is technically over so no point to focus on other 'smaller' characters.

soundwave and shockwave too i guess or did shockwave get destroyed by optimus? cant remember much coz i dont really care much for this final instalment

I think the Star-Wars like battle in Cybertron that was shown earlier in the film was way better than any other scenes in TF3. With Cullen/Optimus voice in the background. Why didn't anybody mentioned this? When i see it, i thought the movie was gonna be great. Too bad it didn't.

Hopefully we'll get director who's more in touch with Transformers lore or someone who actually gives a damn about the bots themselves.

Its kind of ridiculous that after 3 movies, the only developed characters are Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. The rest of the Autobots and Cons are basically cannon fodder.

Plus Bay's American jingoism and supermodel fetish is getting tiresome.

Is Transformer 3 that bad? Its bad if you're a Transformers cartoon fan but to most people who don't really care about the cartoon, its not a bad summer popcorn movie. Frankly speaking most people, cannot even differentiate between Shockwave or Soundwave. Heck, even Starscream is not that well known. Most people who have never watch the Transformers cartoon can recognise Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. No one can deny that the action is good in this movie. So what is all this complaint? Seriously, who the heck go to a Micheal Bay movie for storyline? Every Michael Bay movie have plots that is mainly to showcase the action scenes. Yeah, I agree there are holes in this movie but is it that bad? Its becoming like its cool to just trash this movie. There's so many Transformers cartoon fans who just hated the idea of a live action Transformers movie but were happy that Transformers 1 were not bad. But they put their hope too high and expected too much that no matter how good is this movie, they'll be disappointed. Nevertheless, I do agree that this movie could have been better but its not as bad as what some of the people here says. On a scale of 5 stars, I'll give it a 3 1/2 stars.

I like TF1, and it's miles better than TF3. Didn't expect a good storyline either and and watched it only because of the action scenes (judging from the trailers and tv spots, it looked good) but at least make it just 'norma/so-sol' than plain sucks and stupid (story-line). Is that too much to ask? The first movie that i feel exhausted while watching due to overloaded action scene? This is the only movie. At least to me.

oucheev, you're trying to be the voice of reason in a wave of emotional hate/rage/disappointment. you're doing what i did when tf2 came out. i salute you for having guts (=angkat bakul sendiri) and yes ive always said make and form your own opinions.

i respect your opinions and others. respect doesnt mean i agree with everyones opinion but simply means i acknowledge your standpoint.

just as tf2 was the breaking point for other moviegoers patience, this movie also passed the breaking point of mine. i already said partially what sucked for me, theres tons more and i just couldnt forgive michael bay anymore for what seemed like him showing us 2 middle fingers.

good or bad, word of mouth can impact a movie ticket sales. just as it did with driving up 'kl gangster' past rm10 miliion mark mostly due to word of mouth.

you are entitled to your opinion and respect also your guts for voicing them. i hope the mega bashing by others wont discourage other moviegoers to state if they liked the movie. list out your pros and cons.
just be civil. it is just entertainment. i usually hide the cons within pros but for this movie, i hid(inserted) the pro within the cons. (the actions scenes are still good, even if some parts long). anyhow, for entertainment, i did not find this movie thoroughly enjoyable/entertaining. the great action scenes werent enough for me to hide the other flaws in it.

Bumblebee killed him.
He was one of the few deceptions holding bee and the oher Autobots hostage, and when all hell broke loose, bee punched soundwaves's body and blew his head off.
