I have trouble Taming little Tiny; she's so cautious she didn't touch the popcorn for days after it accidentally rolled into her.
I tried handfeeding, my dad QQ about me not feeding her enough. She won't stay with my hand, always running off after taking one little piece. And then won't eat. I tried removing the house since she hid there all the time, and my dad non stop complained about why I am so cruel. So i have a dad that is effectively against all of my attempts, and I've not made much progress either. I am pretty frustrated and angry, so I want to know if there's a method that is faster and less stressful for all of us. http://critterscoop.com/blog/blog5.php/200...in-7-easy-steps Would this work? She nipped me pretty hard today, and so I instinctively tossed my handout because it was so unexpected. |

Try using pliers to grip on the pin and then pull to remove the pin. Use the same way but push to fix it back. My mom taught me that.
By the way, while Tiny was sleeping I measured her with a ruler. She's approximately 8 cms long She probably grew about 2 cms in a month, because she was a ton shorter when we brought her in. The size of a Grown syrian is 10 to 15 centimeters. So Tiny is really really tiny. |

QUOTE(sangels @ Mar 8 2009, 12:51 AM) LOL I use them all the time. Very easy.By the way for long haired syrians try using an old toothbrush to comb the hair. And it's advisable to change the bedding to something that don't stick so much like corn cob bedding or recycled paper. You should stop using the wood shavings if you don't want to see the bedding all over Besides, Cedar=bad bad bad bad bad |

I think Tiny's decided to sleep in the toilet. She pees where she sleeps and I really don't want that because it spoils her hoarded food too.
I used to scoop up her toilet, which would be the corners. I think she's too afraid to pee there, so she pees IN HER BED Aiyoh, how now? This post has been edited by Sophiera: Mar 12 2009, 12:30 PM |

I would like to have more advanced taming tips for Tiny, since when we try to scoop her she would jump.
Handfeeding is fine now, in fact the only time she would touch a hand was when there's food. Tame enough to handfeed, not tame enough to pick up. |

QUOTE(odd_mochi @ Mar 19 2009, 09:34 PM) sophiera...how old is Tiny now? I think if u just continue your effort to tame her - handfeed, carry her out...she will be fine when she gets older....IMO la.. Tiny is about 4 months old now.Bcoz....last time, i almost lost hope on taming Toph... But when he was 2months plus, he didn't mind me lift him out of his cage, after a while...he's eager to go out, and thats when he started his habit of clinging/climbing on my hand whenever i put my hand in his tank... So...like wat Jamien said patience + love = hmm how oredi a the algebra? hahah... point is, dun stop trying Boy she really grew. Didn't realise she had almost doubled the length XD tghough now the problem is that she's biting really agressively in the tank, atacking the water bottle to reach the hole... |

By the way, my hamster Tiny is really not tiny anymore. She can climb out of the ball! Last time, she's only as long as the hamster house's side, about 5 cms Now already about 11 FEBRUARY. When I first received her These are from March And these were recently taken (April). She has grown so big, she sometimes have trouble climbing up to the roof of the house! Aaand of course, she sleeps in the wheel sometimes. this is how she sleeps |

Wah so much tissue paper.
They're nice comforters but I recommend you to get a proper bedding like aspen shavings of breeder celect. The breeder one can last for a long, long time....really can absorb the smell! There was once I didn't change for 3 weeks, still not stinky. |

@Nezu: I feel like smoked fish thanks to the heat. Smoky, hot and dry
Otherwise ok la, just that bleargh weather is bleargh I hear prestige jatuh standard liao. Aduih. My dad is going to help buy so listing some stuff down. Breeder celect for the bedding Vitakraft Life either power or wellness. The hamster is about 6 months old now so either one of these is ok. Prestige, I've heard a lot of good things about it... If both out of stock Harry Hamster lor. She's liking it. Oh ya, feedback. I would prefer the dehydrated pack or maybe the ground powder mix where I can make into a ball. Bean failed to finish the smoothie before she died, and so it expired and gone to waste. Tiny didn't like the protein flakes. Unless I mix it with something wet, sure won't eat it. However....you live so far T_T Sunway... Hardly go there anymore. |

Jack and Joan recommended my dad Vitakraft Emotion Sensitive Hamster 300g. He asked what is the best, and they gave me that one as the best.
When my friend saw the thing, he said my hamster one day is going to sing "squeak squeak squeak" and then squeak with the guitar like an emo band fella I noticed Petshack has completely dropped Presteige off the list of foods sold. Wah, that cham ar? What do you think of Living World Classic Hamster Food 908g. That was what bean ate The last time I bought it, really hated the smell. It it quite fishy and just plain not nice. And on the hamster water issue....My friend drowned his hamster before while trying to give him a shower. My mom also bathed hamsters before, but that was because we were ignorant and nobody told us how to jaga hamsters. Then we have a handicap ham that cannot groom itself, but eventually we stopped that too. The only batch of water that is safe for hamsters to be in is basically a freshly mopped floor, floor level This post has been edited by Sophiera: Jun 9 2009, 12:39 PM |

She goes nuts for the banana-like chewtoy. Cannot get enough of it. It doubles as food too.
