QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Mar 29 2009, 10:47 PM)
sharing my review :-

it is my 3rd day with the docomo P905i + L Shape simcard + V-Sim.

so far i experienced "signal out" once when i was at Tenji on last saturday

did my first ever CPR with my nokia 5800, successfully saved my prince charming biggrin.gif

so far so good, love every aspect of the phone. i even put my converted TVB series into the P905i - breath-taking screen!!!

one tiny complain - as per what awong has mentioned, the P905i (or in fact, all docomo) does not allow you to forward multiple SMSes. so i would have to forward one contact after another contact. ohya, my prince charming is a juice sucker. make sure you feed him, or bring extra charger / battery, or a backup phone.

overall, i love my docomo P905i  wub.gif

odd...how bad is your battery life? I can get 2.5 days of some talking and sms. Was it watching the dramas draining the batteries? Guess I'll convert some of my tvb and jdramas left on my hd and see what happens. I think for dramas, might be ok to convert video at lower bitrate too under 1000kbps. But I find the battery life a lot better than the so905ics and not as good as 920sh so far.

Maybe get one of those portable li-ion chargers off strapya?

how long did you let it stay out before you decided to cpr? Sometimes rebooting may get signal quicker than waiting.

seems it needs to be sent back to Japan to repair doh.gif

i think so too, friend is on his way to taiwan with my 920sh, might have to ask him if they got the lcd, but that doesnt seem likely...

I wonder if I should offer him my 813t for it and then get friend to list on ebay as is for parts.

the xp and mac ones I found on a gsm.vn somehow I figured out how ot register to download.

I cant remember about the chinese ones, but they were created by the same one who did the hello kitty theme, might have more, but it would seem a bit weird to use a chinese theme on a japanese phone laugh.gif

maybe its the flex cable? I got a spare flex cable plus hinge, I have another lcd, but has some slight scratch on it, will have to find it in my box.

But I would maybe take apart the back cover of the lcd and unplug the flex cable and plug it back in and see what happens, is the blur screen on all the time? At the worst you might have to take the phone apart, and unplug the flex cable from the mainboard also and see what happens. My friend's white 903sh I had to change the hinge b/c something with the cable and hinge was causing the phone to turn off.

I asked about the one from uk b/c there was a 903sh on ebay that I know the owner and in camera mode, part of it was blurry like that.

the top flip portion is easier than the bottom. You need to take the earpiece cover off and the vodafone logo off. You can slowly use a flat head screw driver of the two outer bottom screws, keep the inner ones since you can still unplug the cable from there. There are two screws at the earpiece cover

the screws are a five star type, the screwdriver kit is sold on ebay.sg. But if you have precision screwdriver kit, a flat head will work, but will require extra care
