no i dont b/c I trusted someone else to send my 920sh and two other 920sh to taiwan to get internal unlocks to the same place and you know what? I got my phone back in the condition i sent it in working. If you read howardforums, you'll find a few people sending their phone from north america to taiwan to get their 923sh/920p unlocked a you know what after a 1.5 week wait they got a working phone that works.
I know an extent of the method used, and if you understad how the reprovisioning system works on the softbank models you would understand why they have to send the sim card with the phone. you want to do the unlock method yourself? get a softbank ACTIVE usim then and figure out the process from there... it is your fault you got a 923sh without know the unlock method and what it would require...should have researched it first... yeah I can change sim cards on the 920sh. I just keep old sim card inside in case it does come on, I wont relock up. It was 90usd, the hypersim media unlock is about half the price. But I also ended up spending more than 2 months b/c for some reason my friend couldnt get the it unlocked using hypersim method. He was sent the wrong hypersim by the supplier in china.

QUOTE(SnowLeopard @ Dec 26 2008, 03:16 PM) what I was trying to understand is how they can use a usim active then it can only work on Japanese territory. the sim card roams, its hard to get a japanese sim card that is active, you can repro a phone with an active sim if you are roaming. Its not cheap and not easy to get an active japanese sim card. Only those who can want to offer unlock service can get the active sim card. that is why I said it probably do in another way, a way that could be little to ourselves, but because they want to certainly make money They keep it for them. I wrong to think that? and am I the only one to ask these questions? I said it before, the sim card roams and its possible to use overseas, which you can use to repro. and unlock, plain and simple. Lie on the customs form them, should have waited for wx-t923 or 920sh media unlock. 923sh you are just asking for trouble, and you were dumb enough to believe the seller. almost every site I've read talked about the 923sh methods for unlocking and why it requires the sim. Its been known since post 904sh/705sh that a cancelled sim will NOT work. This post has been edited by awong: Dec 27 2008, 04:47 AM |

QUOTE(Perfume666 @ Dec 27 2008, 11:42 AM) i found myself a full set 903sh white housing and box to refurb myself QUOTE more like refurbish set. but how to know whether it is refurbish set or original set? IMEI number? I think only way is to check housing if its authentic. But I noticed a lot of refurbs have hybrid chinese fw on it..not sure what the one in garage sales has on it |

QUOTE(HoshiGami @ Jan 1 2009, 09:33 PM) I saw at the first page lkylyk posted this "T9 CHINESE INPUT FOR 920SH/904SH/705SH MODEL " tutorial..It seems like the hp is suffering the same fate like mine with 30kb limit sms..can this method suggested as posted works on 903sh as well? if yes, will english dictionary still be working after conversion, even so able to type any english words anymore? because I do not understand chinese. what firmware are you running? I am thinking the limit might be if you have japanese firmware, b/c japanese fw allows you to change between jshift and international with the music key. That is similar to the 920sh, but in the sms settings. Not sure on 903sh fw outside of japanese since I dont have an hk fw 903 or euro on me nowWhat will be the sms word limit after conversion? Anyone with experiece please advise. thx This post has been edited by awong: Jan 2 2009, 06:31 PM |
