While Legend/Providence, as explained, I really don't know which one will come out
Providence's pilot with Char's charateristic or Legend's common pilot with "I follow by orders" charateristic?

Do your pick. wink.gif
*
My heart says Providence since I like that mecha tongue.gif, but my head says Legend because they might want to complete the GSD big 4 team.
Either way, I don't think either Legend or Providence will get an MG, at least in the near future.

Apart from Sword Impulse, what other MGs haves been confirmed for the first half of this year? MG Guntank would be a nice addition to the Gundam and G-fighter, maybe it'll even push for a Guncannon 2.0. sweat.gif Dec is still a long way to go, but right now self-modded Delta Plus and Banshee are being shown online already, so maybe either one of these 2. Still sceptical about Kshatriya due to the massive size.

The Alter has a sweet shotgun... like Max Payne's in MP2 hehe.

HD MG Hyaku Shiki... Best looking gold amongst all the Hyaku variants. Yet it's an old tech MG meaning lousy grasp in the palms and the lack of a full skeleton.

1/100 Green Frame... Very similar to the Red Frame, just different decals and the weird gun-pike thingy, and no katana of course. Ugly 神无 decal on the knee piece though... was that in the manga? unsure.gif

wanna tell u guys that I love RX-78-2 a lot. I bought MG Ver2.0 already. Should I get O.Y.W??? I really love the anime color. What else good about
O.Y.W? Of should I get the g-fighter for ver2.0 instead? is there g-fighter for other version of MG ?
thanks
*
What else good about OYW? Apart from the more contemporary design, I guess nothing else yet I personally prefer ver2.0's retro style. The ver2.0 is the better MG with a full set of weapons and a core fighter (with a sweet little stand), but the price is a whopping 1000 yen more.

It depends on what you like. If you're interested in collecting RX78s you might as well get the whole set lol... OYW, 1.5, 1.0, Perfect Gundam etc... I think the G-fighter is a bit expensive for such a goofy kit but the details are super intricate. Would fit right in place next to the ver2.0 though hehe.

Ver2.0 later sure will come out with a OYW look version! Tat dummy look of it has push so ppl back frm purchasing it! Same applies for that GM ver2.0!
The onli nice Ver2.0 in that era are the Mono Eyes!
*
I don't have exact sales figures (probably only bandai staff has them) but the ver2.0 is a popular kit among foreign gunpla forums so I wouldn't say it deters people from buying it. In fact one of the info mentioned on other boards was that the hardcore Japanese fans were displeased with the OYW design and actually welcomed the retro design and hence Bandai gave them what they wanted.

It's a personal preference thing I guess, and yeah I do like the dummy look of GM ver2.0 over the old ver1.0. The original GM has a dummy look compared to the more contemporary redesigns in later OVAs, so it might as well retain the dummy look in the new ver2.0 MG. I prefer designs to look similar to their original lineart, hence I didn't like how streamlined and sleek (overly tall and anorexic if you want) the Impulse looked despite it being a well-engineered MG.

Wow... what a beauty... Love the long rifle...
But I prefer Hyaku Shiki's slightly chunky proportions, the Delta Plus looks a bit skinny when put beside it.

MG for Dec09? tongue.gif Hehe... Why not?

green? I presume you mean the Delta Plus, which is actually grey in colour but the GMG resin kit seems to be coloured in greenish-silver. It's from 0096 ie Unicorn era.

thanks a lot guys.. will scout for OYW. Probably RM125 now. By the way, I got my MG rx-78-2 ver2.0 for RM135.
Is it good price?
*
Good price, esp when yen value is high now. tongue.gif

125 for OYW is a bit high, considering that you could easily get a Titans MKII which IMO is a better kit than the OYW RX78.
Or better still, find Char's Zaku to compliment your Gundam ver2.0 hehe...

Sinanju is inspired by the Sazabi, like how Full Frontal utilises his similarity to Char in terms of charisma to his advantage.

QUOTE(gogo2 @ Feb 28 2009, 10:03 AM)
Yeah, I also think OYW is a bit high. I saw swee feng sell at RM103 only. And yes, I do need Zaku.
But I dunno if I want a red zaku or green one. I grow up remembering green one more...kekeke...

I think I might be more interested in this:
http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN953144
*
J, S, F... all of them are pretty similar, depending on what you want.

Choose J, and you'll get extra missiles but lose out on feet boosters plus a tiny backpack.
Choose S, and you'll get a nice-looking (but pretty useless) elevator but you get the most leg boosters and the largest backpack.
Choose F, and you'll get an absolutely pathetic doorknob but you get additional bazooka parts.

I deliberately left out the 4500 yen Zaku IIs as they cost more, obviously.

QUOTE(amirisme @ Feb 28 2009, 09:21 PM)
also.. regarding the OYW RX78, it uses which RX78 frame? ver KA or 1.5?
*
Own frame, but the legs are similar to the 1.5... that's why it was actually unofficially referred as the ver1.75 before it was released. But no one calls it ver1.75 anyway.

If they want Gundam then at least release Blue Destiny, plz cry.gif.
*
GM = WIN. Like Zaku II.

I'd be surprised if they didn't release the GM ver2.0 after the kickass Gundam ver2.0 frame. It just requires a little tweak here and there and voila, a new kit for rehashing plus MSVs.

Blue Destiny is not as popular as the other series, nor is the Blue Destiny a project that Bandai is currently focusing on.
However if they decide to ver2.0-ify the 08MST kits esp the Ground Type Gundam/GM then Blue Destiny might stand a chance.
Well there's always HGUC tongue.gif

Last year we saw a hint of MG Guntank but there's still no news about any imminent release. If the Guntank really rolls out (pun intended) then the Guncannon might just do too.

I actually like Guncannon more than GM tongue.gif Kai Shiden, ikimasu !!!

That shop is more of a hobby shop per say. More accurately I recall it being somewhat opposite a colorful RMIT building. They do sell gunpla there but not that much as far as I remember.
*
Colourful RMIT building... the only one I could think of is the RMIT along Swanston St, and the nearest hobby shop is along Lonsdale St.... you won't miss it, they have a lot of radio controlled helicopters there. But don't expect many gunpla kits... you'll find more tanks/ships/submarines/planes than mecha. In fact they don't really display mechas except for a few at the window.

If you're in Melbourne, you're better off saving money and buying them back in M'sia... dry.gif Buying it online won't save you much (may even be more expensive) after adding in the shipping fees.

QUOTE(dante3 @ Mar 8 2009, 04:40 AM)
i've just been poisoned by GUNDAM MODELING.
I feel gundam painting is easiest on
1) 1/60 PG which requires less painting, coz its so detailed
then
2) 1/100 MG
then
3) 1/144 HG
then
4) 1/144 FG
then
5)SD/BB Gundam bcoz SD gundam is sooooo small !! Hence SD/BB Gundam is the hardest to paint!
dont u think so?

therefore i seriously highly recommend MG or PG for gundam beginners. unless if u dont want to paint your gundam, then SD Gundam is recommended.
*
1/60 PG is supposed to be the most detailed... after all it's the most expensive amongst all.

I actually think that if you don't want to paint your gundams, go for at least a 1/100 or MG... Even the newer HGUC 1/144 kits which have lots of detail require paint in many areas eg nozzles and thrusters. SDs need lots of painting, especially the Sangoku series which have intricate armour designs... the foil stickers that they provide are quite ugly compared to stickers from other series. And actually SD series aren't that small because of the chubby designs... 1/144 NG/FGs are probably the hardest to paint because they are moulded in one/two colours only.

Was really tempted to buy the Sazabi MG kit, but the price locally is too expensive and too heavy to ship from overseas.

Then came metallic coating version, but I don't know how they look like haven't seen the actual thing in person.
*
Well, just in case you want to know... the old MG Sazabi is pretty notorious regarding it's proportions and articulation. Not forgetting the massive price tag as well. Here's some reviews that you might want to read first before buying the MG.
http://fudoushin.wordpress.com/mg-sazabi/

The metallic coating version costs even more but you get the same old MG with the persisting problems. But I'd say the metallic red looks so much better than the silver coating of the extra-finish Nu or other similarly coated gundams.
http://perfectdesignsense.com/martinwander...ots/msn-04.html

That's why I chose the HGUC Sazabi instead... it looks more accurate to the original bulky badass design and has better articulation than its MG counterpart. Furthermore it's much more affordable, and due to Sazabi's height it won't look out of place when placed beside typical 1/100s. Of course, the HGUC has its flaws and you don't get a skeleton with it (kinda meh actually considering that the Jagd Doga has a partial skeleton).

But you can choose whatever version you like tongue.gif Sazabi >>>>> Nu rclxm9.gif

Anyway, dalong.net reviews the GMver2.0... sweet.

The HG Sazabi is puny. How to fight my MG Nu Gundam?

But seems I got 1 simple assembly Sazabi, the size is about same as 1/100, stands like a normal 1/60 PG Gundams. It comes with individual funnels, and the usual weapons. I forgot what series it was but it requires abit of simple assembly. Not very expensive too.

Added on March 11, 2009, 8:54 pmThe metallic sazabi looks pretty neat. The paint job is better than previous metallics.

Just curious the cutting edge, are they exposed or hidden like Hyaku Shiki? Coz if exposed we need to do some touch up on the chipped points.

Ultimately I would like to do my own Metallic Sazabi, but my current skill's not good enough for it.
*
LOL.... fight with MG Nu... Well you could get another HGUC Nu to fight with HGUC Sazabi tongue.gif

No idea which Sazabi you have there... 1/100 size but stands like a 1/60? This sentence doesn't make sense.... Maybe some photos will help.

The cut nubs on the Sazabi seems to be exposed, as shown in the link I posted above. There's one picture of the forearm where you can clearly see the obvious nub marks.

Actually I disagree with that guy's opinion. The MG Sazabi is pretty awesome. Due to it's sheer size, it's pretty imposing and dwarfs every MG (with the exception of a few eg. Perfect Zeong) out there. I have one and loved it to bits. I'll post my Sazabi when I have the time.

If you're a hardcore MG Gundam fan like me, get one if you can find it for a reasonable price. Hard to do that now due to the exchange rate now....
*
Depends on how you like your kits to be. I too love the MG Sazabi for its sheer bulk, but the wrong proportions plus the poor articulation for the high price is a big deterrence for me. The HGUC CCA line is good enough compared to the other HGUC series, and due to its many models and lower price it'll be easier to collect all of them.

Post your MG Sazabi pics at the showoff thread biggrin.gif

Sweet! Might expect a Dom 2.0 soon though. Speaking of which though, this news kinda tells me Bandai might want to go all the way 2.0-ing many suits in OYW. For example, inevitable suits like the Z'gok and the Zeong will be noticable without a doubt. 1.0 versions of these kits are well made as of now, but do they really need a 2.0 version?

What do you guys think of a possible Z'gok 2.0 and a Zeong 2.0? They may have the "Char" on them but is it necessary? I for once rather the 2.0 tech be used in other suits not released in MG such as the GM Cannon and GM Sniper Custom.
*
Oh yes... of course... more ver2.0 OYW kits will always be welcomed... Hopefully with the coming Gouf 2.0 we'll be able to see Gouf CUSTOM 2.0 very soon !! Not too excited about Zeong 2.0 but Z'Gok 2.0 would be sweet... and chances are we'll see some GM MSVs in 2.0 form, although having said that there ain't that many around compared to the Zaku II variants.

I always respected the Gouf since Ramba Ral shine some light on it. Gouf Custom 2.0 is highly feasible without a doubt, but if that happens, in all FAIRNESS Bandai, we should have an Ez8 2.0 too right  brows.gif ? I want the 08MST OVA to have as much pats on it's back don't we? The Zaku II JC variant is another possible commercial MG release Bandai rolleyes.gif

Agreed as there is not many GM variants compared to the Zaku as in the OYW, GM mobile suits were relatively new to the EFF at that time. Regardless, GM OYW variants like the Cannon and Sniper Custom are excellent candidates for MG kits as they were never been MG-ed.
*
EZ8 2.0... you know both of us will grab it ASAP if it ever comes out tongue.gif But chances are it'll require some Blu-Ray or special edition DVD of 08MST to kickstart the 2.0-fication of 08MST suits.

Someone mentioned Dom 2.0 too... The original Dom is pretty solid on its own, not sure how feasible it is to 2.0-ify it this soon. Mechas like Gouf (and its variants eg Custom) and Zaku I, FZ, F2 would probably require less new parts than a whole new Dom or Z'Gok/Zeong.

Judging from Bandai's trend of making MGs... we'll probably see MG G3 Gundam 2.0 quicker than anything else icon_idea.gif
