Well, to get maximum benefit from scrims, it's important that they play a team that is at least 1 level above them. You don't want scrims where you own the other team and you don't want scrims with very tight results. If you're a new team, you want to be beaten so you can learn about what you're doing wrong and how you can improve. =)

Well, honestly, if you were trying hard to look for team contacts, a lot of team reps and leaders post here on this forum. It really does not take too much effort just to PM some of those guys here on Lowyat for a scrim. Get their XFire or their MSN. These things come to those who try. Don't be expecting people just to come to you and offer. On a side note to help you out: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/816305 <-- I know these don't have contacts but I'm sure you can ask around. http://pxgl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=30 <-- Most of the local clans/teams are represented here and even some of the regional ones if you are willing to scrim online. Get some contacts and ask. Please, no more pot stirring, Straf. ICA guys, I've helped you out so now it's time you guys helped yourselves.

Really? How many teams have you tried, honestly? 3-4? There are a lot of clans out there who are looking for scrim partners and it's YOUR availability, not theirs, that matters in the end. Like Strayfah said, try looking outside your circle of friends. I think I speak for myself and ESP when I say that we have hardly gotten any scrim requests from other clans in the last 3 months. We always end up playing one another. =/ If you have really tried (like really, really) >10 teams and everyone of them have said no, SWL will be happy to scrim with you promod.
p.s. Oh, and asking people for a scrim inside YOUR OWN thread doesn't count as a 'challenge'. The end.

Two things:
1. I am not your friend. I don't even know you. Please do not refer to me as such, especially with that sarcastic tone of yours. 2. Yeah, really, I had no life so I went to check your posts. You posted in XIII's, RnF's, Project's, Pnu's/Onova's and XEF's thread.
So I was wrong. It's not 3-4 teams that you 'tried' to contact, but rather, 5-6. Obviously as a team leader you are not personally putting in enough effort to get your own team going and yet you are complaining about not being spoonfed. As somebody who doesn't even know you and doesn't consider you his friend, I took the trouble to try to defuse the situation in your own thread and helped you as well with the contacts and this is the thanks I get? Since it seems that I have school you on how to do everything.
Lesson #1: Slinging sarcastic comments somebody's way isn't a good way of showing your gratitude especially if they have helped you.
Lesson #2: Posting in another team's thread isn't really showing how serious you are in wanting to scrim them. X-Fire, MSN, phone calls. Everybody had to start out the same way you have. I had to call and chase for the scrims I wanted. If I had to play at my home cafe I had to make sure to get there early to book PCs so everyone could sit together as a team. If they can't scrim on LAN, you try to scrim online to suit them.
Obviously your couldn't-be-bothered attitude does seem to push people away so that's probably why you don't get any scrims. Look at CN. They are a new team but can't wait to scrim even if they lose. They push for it, ask for it, beg for it. You couldn't even be bothered to do 2 out of those 3 things, so how do you expect for anything to happen? So I'm withdrawing my offer of a scrim since you prefer to wallow in your own self-pity. Good luck finding other training partners.

@21 (Since your nickname has broken LYN, I cannot quote you)
1) If your tone wasn't sarcastic in the previous post, then I live on planet opposite. Where there are rainbows all year long and pure-white unicorns. (This is also being sarcastic) 2) I did not say you didn't do anything, I said you didn't do enough. If you're not getting scrims for your team, obviously you're not doing enough. 3) I did not spit in your face, I just stated the facts. Here it is again. Fact : I am not your friend. Spitting in your face, even over the internet, requires insults and possibly a good glove slap or two. 4) What did you mean by 3 things for me also? I stated 2 things. (This is what we call a small 'logic niggle')
Honestly, this wasn't even my problem in the first place but I have tried. If you want to be sarcastic, defensive and still choose to justify your ineptness, then please by all means do so. This is done at the expense of your team because I personally wouldn't let my team down like that.
EDIT: Okay, my flaming constitution isn't what it used to be. I look back at what I've posted and instead of feeling annoyed or irritated, I just feel... tired. I no longer want to post regarding this matter.
