Update 1:
I followed this method from this link in Vista and it worked, thank you so much. However, when I tried the method from the same link that worked in Vista, it didn't work in XP. doh.gif In fact, I tried all links and all methods in XP but to no avail.

Update 2:
It works in all my computers in XP or Vista OSes. I'd to add WLM to my Norton IS '09, "allowed program list". Also must add to ZoneAlarm Firewall Pro, "trusted program list".

Installing/uninstalling Windows Live 2009 (Wave 3) Release Candidate applications

This site lists all Windows Live Suite 2009 “Wave 3” applications, a download link to the Microsoft Installer (MSI) file, what’s also necessary to install each application and a method to properly remove each without the Windows Live installer. This allows you to install on non-supported Windows versions (Windows XP x64), fix broken Windows Live Installer installs or just to avoid the Live Installer altogether.

Get them here!

Uninstall the Live messenger 2009 and Install .msi file if the exe is not working well.
Google it : [ Wlm85.msi ]

I doubt versions have differences in disconnecting. IMHO, I never DCed in MSN before but my contacts always do and it's damn annoying. sweat.gif
