Hello everyone...

Don't see much sharing about these 'agents', so just to share on my experience.

Was approached by them for DMP, explaining on standard things like consolidating all the personal loans and credit cards into a 10 year repayment with step-up monthly repayment. For example,
1. Year 1 - Year 2 >> RM1000
2. Year 3 - Year 4 >> RM1500
3. Year 5 - Year 6 >> RM2000
4. Year 7 - Year 10 >> RM2500

The 'agents' will be transparent saying you can personally apply without any charges, but it'll be troublesome to submit documents, meeting with the counsellor, attending counselling sessions and even the interest rates will be high. By using their services, for a sum of 8% - 10%, the process will be more straighforward and with high approval rate.

They do seem legit, with physical office and even can meet them there as to provide you with a sense of security (not just scam money, but not getting the DMP).

However, I was lucky to not went through with them. As the process of applying directly is pretty much hassle free. Approval takes about 7 working days, with the same kind of step-up monthly repayment.

For anyone looking to get DMP, please do not listen to these 'agents' as the process of applying directly is just the same as using their services. They don't 'scam' you, but just making a quick buck out of our financial predicament.

Do not hesitate if there's unmanageable debts. Start early, clear the debts and plan your finances accordingly. Good luck all!

What's the interest rate if you guys do it directly online? im being approached with the "agent" also now by claiming if you direct apply through AKPK will charge u up to 10%

if base on 50k calculation
(2% pa) 1 & 2 yr : RM500
(4% pa) 3 & 4 yr : RM600
(5% pa) 5 & 6 yr : RM720
(6% pa) 7 to 10 yr : RM864

The catch is, they will add on another 10% Admin Fee (+6% Merchant Fees from that 10% amount)

Akpk is free and easy. always deal direct with Akpk. They don't appoint agent.

Those agents are scamming you.ignore them scumbags.

Thanks for the reply. Can I know what the interest rate is if I deal directly with AKPK? Within 6-10%? won't have that interest stage like 1st few year lower?

Is the application tedious? Heard him say the application will need to take some time, as we'll have an interview, then need to attend classes some more. And of course interest rate is higher.

Sorry for a lot of questions.. I'll need to understand some input 1st only will go approach with APKP staff.

Interest definitely lower than whatever you're having now with the banks. I recall when I help my auntie was around 7% for her credit card and personal loans, stretch over 9 years.

You apply online with AKPK,where you put in your outstanding debts,  income and expense commitment data, then set up a 1 on 1 session with the counsellor. No classes required.

The purpose of the counselling is so that the counsellor can find out what's a reasonable monthly repayment plan for you.

Once again, AKPK service is FREE, and AKPK staff will definitely want to find ways to make life easier for you and won't give you a hard time. Ignore those so called 'agents'.

Thanks for your reply. appreciate it.
BTW, i got saja2 go count the total payment, the interest rate offered by the agent seems attractive if compared with 7% even with add on that agent fee.
Anyway, still not sure how true it is......
