My father has been paying off his AKPK DMP installment for the past 2 years and last month he was hit with a stroke and is left bedridden until now. I'm thinking of helping him to settle off his AKPK since I think the total debt outstanding now is probably less than 15k left if we dont take into consideration the interest. Anyway can I contact the bank to nego for a lumpsum settlement ? I'm worried that since I'm not the actual accountholder the Bank will refuse to layan me, but it's impossible for my father to go anywhere now as he no longer has the mental / physical capacity to do so.
