i think the question is whether 4850 can be crossfired with 4870/4890. i dont think that's possible. 4850 can only be crossfired with another 4850.

unfortunately, u cant upgrade ur laptop GPU. that privilege is only for desktop users.

gtx260+ is better than 4770. higher gpu frequency n ramdac does play a role. but the number of stream processors and bus width between the two cards and the inclusion of physx technology in gtx260+ makes the gtx260+ a better choice.

probably ur external HDD's partition is FAT32. try converting it to NTFS.

both no. better graphics card doesnt improve picture quality and doesnt improve performance via HDMI. an integrated solution like the HD3300 or the intel GMAs can perform well enough. its better to get a good graphics solution if u're planning to view 1080p/i movies. this is so because intel GMAs, especially, might suffer in performance.

odd. i got the ones connected directly to the motherboard showing in HWmonitor. maybe u could try SpeedFan. it can detect fan speed as well. probably better than HWmonitor.

its normal if one of ur fans is moving slower than the other. i got mine running at 1834 RPM, 1259 RPM and 1119 RPM respectively.
